Sunday Night Survival
November 6th, 2005
Denver, Colorado

TB: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome! The Last Man Standing tournament continues in earnest tonight, and i know there are some surprises in store too! With me as always is Keith Kincaid. Keith?

KK: Thats right folks you heard it right. The greatest tournament in professional wrestling is well under way now. We should know by the end of the night who has made it to the knockout phase!

TB: Without any further ado, lets go straight to the action!

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 4, Week 3
Fudge v The eXiled

Result: Draw (OOC: Nobody RP'd)

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 4, Week 3
Sean Oliver Hart v "Awesome D" Anderson

Result: Draw (OOC: Nobody RP'd)

TB: Well we have a rather strange situation here, both Fudge and eXiled have 5 points, Sean Oliver Hart and Anderson having 2 each. To go forward we need to know who finished top and who finished second.

KK: How is it going to be settled?

"Purple Haze" hits and David Jackson comes out to the top of the ramp and grabs a mike.

DJ: So. Who won the group? Fudge? eXiled? Lets see.

Jackson pulls out a coin.

DJ: Heads it's Fudge, Tails it's eXiled.

Jackson flips the coin and lets it land by his feet. The camera zooms in and we see that it's heads.

DJ: So there you have it folks, Fudge wins the group and will face the RUNNER UP of group 3. eXiled is the runner up of group 4 and so will face group 3's WINNER.

Jackson drops the mike and returns to the back.

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 3, Week 3
Dylan Wolfe v Brooklyn

TB: Ok then folks, both contenders are in the ring and ready to go. Neither man can now qualify for the next round, so they're fighting for pride.

KK: Brooklyn has also said this will be his last match in the HWA.

TB: Thats a real shame Keith, a real shame.

Brooklyn meets Wolfe, they tie up, and Brooklyn goes straight for the finisher.

TB: LATIN EXPLOSION, LATIN EXPLOSION!

KK: Good Lord! Brooklyn is not messing around tonight!

Brooklyn goes for the pin - 1-2-3!

TB: HOLY SHIT! Did you just see that Keith?!

KK: Barely!

TB: Brooklyn just demolished Wolfe in seconds!

KK: What a way to leave your mark on the HWA!

Brooklyn climbs to the top of a turnbuckle and salutes the fans. He does this on each turnbuckle before standing in the middle, turning around a full 360 and applauding the fans. He jumps over the ropes and on top of the crowd barrier, thumping his chest and pointing out at his fans, before leaving the arena through the crowd.

TB: Wow, just wow! What an atmosphere!

KK: I sure hope thats not the last time we ever see Brooklyn grace a HWA ring.

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 3, Week 3
Danny Starr v Kevin Conner

TB: Well folks what a match we have here. The legendary Danny Starr, versus the undefeated Kevin Conner.

KK: Should be one for the ages Trent.

FixXxer by "Metallica" blares over the sound system and Danny Starr makes his way down to ringside. Seconds later "Not Listening” by Papa Roach hits and Conner runs down to ringside.

The match gets under way, Starr tries a clothesline, Conner ducks. Conner tries a drop kick, but Starr somersaults over it. Conner lands on his feet. They circle for a second before smiling at each other. They shake hands, knowing that they are pretty evenly matched and that the best man will win. Conner keeps a hold of Starr's hand, and steps a leg over. He drops to the floor in an arm bar. Starr manages to hook his legs around conner's neck in a seated hurricanrana position.

TB: Arm bar versus the triangle choke, simultaneously!

KK: These guys are putting on an exhibition!

Conner gets a leg onto the rope and both he and Starr are forced to break the holds. Starr shrugs his arm, trying to get some feeling back into it. They lock up. Conner tries a leg sweep, Starr jumps over it, Conner goes for a super kick, and then Starr ducks. In desperation, Conner spears Danny to the ground and begins to land punches on Starr's face.

TB: Conner couldn't match Starr for technical prowess, so he's opted for the route one approach i see.

Conner quickly busts Starr open. Starr retaliates though by pulling Conner closer to him.

KK: Look! Starr just wants to be friends!

TB: No Keith, its a great wrestling technique, pull your opponent closer and it prevents him from landing big rights and lefts.

Starr wraps his legs around Conner's body, and his arms around his neck. He then turns Conner over and stretches him in a modified torture rack. Eventually, Starr releases the hold and Conner stumbles back into his corner.

KK: Conner thinks it's time for a time out!

TB: No time outs in this sport!

Starr approaches Conner, but Conner lands an elbow in the face of Starr. Starr ignores the pain, and the blood running down his face and instead lands a vicious looking uppercut on Conner. Conner slumps back into the corner once more. Starr extends a leg into the throat of Conner, effectively preventing Conner from either breathing or moving out of the turnbuckle position. Conner starts to go purple!

TB: Oh my God, Starr could actually KILL Conner here...

Erin Wallace at ringside tosses Conner a chair, and only when Conner whacks Starr on the lower leg with the chair does Starr release the hold. Conner collapses in the corner, while Starr hobbles around the ring. Erin Wallace tries to revive Conner. Seeing the opportunity before him, Starr grabs the chair, and throws it into the face of Conner, gashing him deeply across one cheek. Conner grabs his cheek, but blood spurts out over the mat and apron from the initial contact. Erin Wallace screams in terror.

KK: Good grief, there's more blood in this match than in a horror movie!

Next, Starr slides along the mat feet first and kicks Conner out of the ring. Conner collides into the announce position. Just as he turns around, Starr superkicks him onto the announce position. Conner lies motionless on the announcers table. Starr picks him up and hits the Obliteration!

TB: OH MY GOD, KEVIN CONNER IS DEAD!

The table smashes into a million pieces and Starr manages to drape one arm across Conner. The referee counts 1-2-3 and Starr is declared the winner.

TB: What a match!

KK: Simply sensational Trent!

TB: So by my calculations, Starr finishes top of group 3, Conner second.

KK: Thats right, Conner's first HWA loss since we reopened in June.

TB: Thats true, but more importantly right now it gives us our first pair of 2nd round matches for LMS!

KK: Ah yes I see what you mean.

TB: So Conner gets Fudge in round 2, and Starr gets The eXiled. Should be most interesting!

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 2, Week 3
The Chosen One v Blue Thunder

Accompanied to the ring by David Jackson, TCO makes his way down to a massed chorus of boos. Blue Thunder then comes down to ringside, to only a few less boos.

TB: Blue Thunder not really the most popular guy around here either to be honest.

KK: No thats true. He was once aligned with Jackson too.

They get into the ring and lock up. Immediately TCO goes in for the kill, Jackson enters the ring, Thunder turns, and straight away TCO hits Thunder with Tha Aftermath.

TB: Oh my God, Jackson just screwed his former friend Thunder right there.

Wallace Cunningham makes the count 1-2-3 and TCO is a win to the richer.

KK: Another short match there.

TB: I don't think some people are quite in the shape they need to be for this competition Keith.

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 2, Week 3
Gary Katzenmoyer v Nate Hartman

TB: This should be another great match up Keith.

KK: Yeah, I hate to admit it, but Jackson has managed to put together a hell of a card today. Quite by chance it would seem, as it's a round robin tournament, but somehow all the biggest matches seem to be today!

TB: And they'll only get bigger, too, as the second round matches are beginning to take shape!

KK: So we've got the tenacious Nate Hartman now versus the enigmatic Gary Katzenmoyer.

TB: Katz put a great showing in last week. It'll be interesting to see if he can do the same again tonight.

"Hexagram" by Deftones hits and Gary Katzenmoyer runs down to the ring, he taunts the fans as he does, and he waits in the ring for his opponent.

"Point of No Return" by Immortal Technique hits and the fans go crazy as "The Phenomenal One" Nate Hartman appears at the top of the ramp.

The two men meet each other in the ring. Hartman offers his hand. Katz goes to shake it but then boots Hartman in the midsection before hitting a neckbreacker on the unsuspecting Hartman.

TB: Poor Hartman, doing the honourable thing there.

KK: And Katz took good advantage - gotta love it!

Katzenmoyer does indeed continue to take advantage. He pummels Hartman with kicks and the occaisional big right hand. Hartman rolls out of the ring to escape.

TB: Wow, Hartman having to regroup here.

Katzenmoyer throws all of his 280lbs over the top rope, and flattens Hartman on the outside. The crowd start a holy shit chant.

Katzenmoyer raises his arms in triumph, but it is a little premature, as Hartman aims a vicious kick at Gary's knee. Katz grasps his knee and staggers backwards.

KK: Well now, I think Hartman just found Katzenmoyer's weak spot.

TB: Yeah thats right, Katzenmoyer has a history of knee injuries, Hartman has obviously done his research.

Reaching underneath the ring, Hartman pulls out a kendo stick. He whacks Katz repeatedly on the knee with it, until Katzenmoyer falls to the ground. Psyched up big time, Hartman imitates the raised arm triumph pose that Katzenmoyer had just done.

TB: Wow, look at Hartman's face! It's almost purple!

KK: Yep, Hartman is pumped up to the max!

The referee tries to go over to see if Katzenmoyer is ok, but Hartman flips and takes the referee out with a serious hard kendo stick shot.

TB: Uh, I think Hartman has gone too far now.

Hartman has a gleaming look in his eyes, looking to hit anything that moves. Katzenmoyer manages to get back up though, and he dares Hartman to hit him with the kendo stick once more. Hartman obliges, but Katz manages to stop the stick, catching it in his hand no less, before taking it a snapping it across his knee. Hartman backs off a couple of steps as the monster he sees before him snarls and then sends him reeling with a huge clothesline. Katzenmoyer picks up Hartman and throws him over the top rope from the outside. He quickly follows him in and goes for the pin. The referee is still down though, so Katzenmoyer can't get a count. Frustrated, Katzenmoyer stands up and starts shouting for a referee. One eventually comes out. Katzenmoyer makes the cover 1-2-Kickout by Hartman.

TB: Some serious resilience from Hartman there.

Katzenmoyer looks Hartman up and down, picks him up and sends him down with a sidewalk slam. Next, he climbs the top turnbuckle and hits the 'XeKuSHion', a springboard corkscrew moonsault. Katz makes the cover once more 1-2-3, this time it's over.

KK: Wow, Katzenmoyer looks to be unstoppable here in the HWA. It'll be interesting to see who he gets in the next round!

TB: Well lets see now. Katzenmoyer leads the group, with The Chosen One in second place. Thunder and Hartman are unfortunately out.

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 1, Week 3
The Real Hero v Pocket Change

Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down hits and The Real Hero comes down to ringside.

TB: Here's the Real Hero. Shame for him really as already before this match, he can't now qualify. He's just started to raise his game too.

KK: Too little too late.

"Back Then" by Mike Jones hits and Pocket Change runs down to the ring.

KK: Talking of little.....

TB: Hero is not a big man really, but he's certainly got the size advantage over Pocket Change here.

Pocket change starts to jump around in the ring as the bell rings. The Real Hero flexes his muscles, and then immediately goes on the offensive. Pocket Change counters with a quick flip backwards and then a springboard dropkick which knocks Hero off his feet. Wiping his mouth, Hero gets back to his feet.

KK: I think perhaps that pocket change just won that inital encounter.

TB: Hero is certainly surprised with how quick 'change is.

KK: Quick change, get it?! Quick change artist?!

TB: You're deplorable.

Pocket Change continues to torment Hero with quick punches and kicks, Hero isn't really able to counter these until he grabs change's fists and headbutts him clean on the nose!

KK: Wow! Hero not taking prisoners here!

Pocket Change's nose is bust open and blood is running down from it. Hero follows up the butt with a punch, right into the face. Pocket Change spins away, protecting his face.

TB: Hero reminding us of his power right there.

KK: Yes but will it be enough?

Hero goes for a lariat, but Change avoids it and instead knocks Hero off his feet with a side russian leg sweep. Both men get to their feet and Hero goes for a punch but Change ducks and hits Hero with one of his own. Change whips Hero to the ropes and as he comes off, he is sent high into the air with a back body drop causing him to smack on the mat with a sick thud. Change heads to the ropes himself and comes off with an elbow drop into Hero's chest. Hero is pulled up by his hair right after that and then hooked for a suplex pickup. Change tries to pull Hero continues to keep the block going. Change pulls his knee up to Hero's midsection a couple of times to loosen him up. As they break apart, Change goes for a DDT, but Hero pushes him down and tries to follow up with a falling-tree-like headbutt, but Change moves and Hero smacks his head on that.

TB: Is anyone going to get ahead in this match?

The bell rings suddenly, and the ring announcer announces that we have reached a time limit draw.

KK: I guess this one is going down as a draw then, one point each.

TB: Shame really, I could've watched some more of these guys. Good match.

Last Man Standing Round 1 (Group Phase)
Group 1, Week 3
Decado v Syren

Decado comes down to ringside first and gets a mixed reception. He heads straight to the ring and prepares to meet his opponent. Syren appears at the top of the ramp and holds the HWA Heavyweight Title above her head. She then walks to ringside, slapping the hands of a few fans, before jumping over the top rope. She wastes not time whatsoever and immediately launches into a handspring hurricanrana. Decado is not prepared for this and is sent flying into a turnbuckle. He shrugs it off though and comes straight back in full force with a drop kick which sends Syren back over the top rope and to the outside.

TB: High action right from the very start!

KK: You're not kidding!

Decado runs across the ring and bounces off the top rope, launching himself into a 450 splash. He connects with Syren, sending her over the guard rail and into the crowd.

KK: OH. MY. GOD!

The crowd think in similar terms to Kincaid and start up a holy shit chant. Just then we see that at the top of the ramp, David Jackson and TCO have pulled up chairs and are watching the match.

Syren seems to have injured her left arm in the assault and is holding onto it with the other hand. Decado knocks her down once more, this time with an inziguri.

TB: Good Lord, Decado is not going to give her a chance.

Decado tries to drop an elbow, but Syren is too quick this time and Decado's elbow hits the concrete. Syren gets to her feet and tries quickly to get away and buy herself some time. She is still nursing her left arm. She manages to grab a chair and in one hand throws it at the advancing Decado. He catches it with a grin, and almost with losing a step, continues to advance on Syren.

KK: No, he really isn't going to let her get her breath back.

Syren runs up the ramp, but seeing TCO and Jackson there she slows down and stops. Decado is still holding the chair with a gleam in his eye. Syren leaps forward, lands expertly on the back of David Jackson's chair, and leaps forward, connecting her feet with the chair Decado is holding, landing it right on his face. Decado falls back in pain, the chair dropping to his side. Syren is quick to recover it and then whack Decado in the back with it. TCO and Jackson look on amused.

TB: Hey look who is out at ringside now!

Sure enough, Gary Katzenmoyer is sitting at ringside. Watching the action.

KK: I guess he's got a vested interest in this match.

TB: Thats right, He will face the loser of this match. TCO of course will face the winner. Both of the men now near to ringside have an interest in what happens.

By now, Syren and Decado are both back in the ring. Syren grabs Decado's wrist, and turns his arm over. Decado crouches and then flips backward to get out of the hold, before kicking Syren's arm away. Syren though manages to knock Decado over the top rope with a suicide clothesline which also sees Syren fly over the top rope. She lands right on top of Decado.

KK: Wow, thats a place many men would like her to be!

TB: Lucky Decado!

Decado doesn't seem bothered though and throws her off to the side. He then drops an elbow. This time he connects and Syren's left arm takes even more punishment. Syren though isn't put off by this. She runs, leaps and jumps off the apron, landing Decado on his head via a Tornado DDT which the crowd applaud enthusiastically.

KK: Syren reminding us all why she is the champion.

Decado gets up, rubbing his head and returns to the ring. Syren is waiting for him and suplexes him back into the ring. She goes for the cover 1-2-Decado kicks out. She jumps to the top of a turnbuckle and goes for the Breakdown (Top Rope/Diving Moonsault).

TB: My God, The BREAKDOWN!

KK: But she's missed! Decado moved out of the way at the last second.

Decado now goes for a boston crab. He locks it in and Syren's back is nearly breaking in half. She screams in agony when the bell rings.

TB: What?! ANOTHER time limit?!

KK: No freaking way.....

TB: There's no doubt that Decado was about to finish Syren off there.

KK: I'm not so sure on that Trent, but hey look...

Katzenmoyer and TCO with Jackson both start to approach the ring, they both get up on the apron. Syren and Decado end up back to back, almost standing as one against a common adversary.

TB: This is uncomfortable Keith....

Suddenly, Decado turns and hits a DDT on Syren!

KK: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?

Katzenmoyer and TCO enter thing ring. TCO lifts up Syren. Katzenmoyer gives Syren the big boot, nearly re-arranging Syren's face.

TB: ARE TCO, DECADO AND KATZENMOYER IN CAHOOTS?!

Decado is sitting, posied on top of a turnbuckle, almost like he is directing traffic. Then, Katzenmoyer and TCO hold Syren down before Decado hits a 450 splash right onto Syren. Jackson stands applauding to one side.

TB: This is SICK! Can we get any help out here?

Almost on cue, several HWA stars - Nate Hartman, Kevin Conner and Danny Starr - come charging down the ramp and into the ring. A huge brawl begins between the six men, Syren is left lying motionless. As the fighting distracts the crowd, Jackson sneaks into the ring and is just about to get a good handful of Syren's assets when Danny Starr spears him into a turnbuckle. The crowd give out a HUGE cheer!

KK: Thank goodness for that. That sick FREAK Jackson nearly just ended up somewhere he didn't deserve to be!

Gary Katzenmoyer is beating Nate Hartman up with some rights and lefts when he is knocked over by Decado, who was trying to throw Conner over the top rope. Decado shows Katz the palms of his hands, as if to say sorry, but Katz is furious. Katzenmoyer and Decado start to exchange blows!

TB: I've just worked it out Keith, Katzenmoyer faces Decado next week in one of the round 2 matches!

KK: You're kidding?! Holy SHIT that will be one HELL of a match!

TB: Folks we've got to leave you. We just have time quickly before we go off air to tell you the final round 2 matches next week. As you just heard it will be Decado v Gary Katzenmoyer, it'll be Fudge versus Kevin Conner, Danny Starr v the eXiled and also Syren versus The Chosen One!

KK: Also Trent I just heard that the X-Treme Championship will be decided next week!

TB: WHAT??!

KK: MY GOD folks, what a crazy week the HWA has just had, and things are only just starting to get warmed up!
