Live! from the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin
Special Thanks goes to Migz, Kamikaze, and Outlaw for writing most of the results. Yeah, I had an off week.
TB: Welcome, fans of the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance, to the 67th installment of Saturday Night Survival, coming LIVE! to you, from the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin!
KK: One week, baby! I have goosebumps all over! I can't wait until Infinity Minus One!
TB: Yea, last week was an eye-opener, when President Lemke revealed the card for Infinity Minus One. Let's take a look at the clip.
The scene changes to an arena that looks quite smaller than the Kohl Center. Jimmy Lemke is in the center of the ring, and he is holding the card to the screaming fans.
JL: This right here, is not a wrestler's contract. This, is the card for Infinity Minus One.
The card in the air, the fans explode with excitement, ready to hear what is on the card.
JL: As you all know, the Xtreme Title is defended every week. Sunday, August 22nd is no different. The Xtreme Title will be defended in a Hardcore Time Limit match. There will be eight participants. Jason Slater, Blade, C.J. Rock, and five other men will compete for this title.
The fans cheer at this news that Blade, a new face, is in the Xtreme Title match.
JL: James Breeze and Morgoth have been at each other's throats for a long time. Hopefully, this score will be settled at Infinity Minus One.
More cheers, as they are pleased. Lemke continues.
JL: Dan Sawyer will defend the International Title against Jociah Malacai in an 'I Quit' match.
The fans cheer, taking no sides, but loving the idea. Lemke presses on.
JL: In a grudge match, Kevin Conner will take on a man returning at Infinity Minus One. A man you have all grown to love or hate. And that man, is Grimjack.
TB: Whoa! Grimjack is fighting Conner at IMO! Wow! What a match!
JL: This will be a Falls Count Anywhere match. Anywhere in the WORLD.
KK: Fireworks for that match, folks.
JL: In the Tag Team Title match, two teams will compete in a Losers-Enemies match. The losers will fight against each other on the following week's Saturday Night Survival. The participants in that match are yet to be determined.
The fans seem to like the idea of that match. Sawyer is growing restless.
TB: Here it comes, now we find out the participants in the match you've all been waiting for.
KK: I want to see who is in!
JL: Now, for the match you have all been waiting for.
The fans begin to cheer. They desperately want to know who is in.
JL: The World Heavyweight Title will be on the line. This match will take place, as you know, in the Hell in a Cell. What you have not known yet, is the participants. Tonight, you found out two of them. Canadian Primetime is in, as is Dylan Wolfe.
At Wolfe's name, the audience goes nuts. They want to hear more.
JL: The third participant, is Dan Sawyer.
Sawyer's jaw drops. He hugs his International title, and stares into space, imagining himself with the belt.
TB: Whoa! Sawyer has the chance of a lifetime! He started in the Academy, and now he could become the next HWA World Heavyweight Champion!
JL: The fourth participant, someone who I thought deserves it, for being here, week in and week out, showing his stuff, is none other, than Kamikaze.
KK: Wow!
TB: Kamikaze is in the match! Kamikaze is in the match!
JL: That is all. Good night, Columbus, and the world.
"Master of Puppets" by Metallica plays. Sawyer remains in the ring. He holds onto his International Title as Jimmy Lemke disappears behind the curtain. No sooner does this happen, then "Reconnect" by Sevendust hit the audio system. Sawyer, who was about to leave, steps back in the ring. Dylan Wolfe enters, wearing a Brothers Wolfe t-shirt. He carries a microphone. He speaks.
DW: I'll be seeing you at Infinity Minus One.
The scene changes back to the Kohl Center, focused on Trent and Keith. Keith starts up conversation.
KK: I think it's time to run over the card for next week.
TB: Infinity Minus One is going to be an awesome pay-per-view, in which The Xtreme Title will be defended in a Hardcore match!
KK: The participants are none other then defending champion, Jason Slater facing off against C.J. Rock, Maverick McMasters, Blade, The Real Hero, and 3 mystery opponents!
TB: Then to top that off we have two legendary HWA wrestlers facing each other off. Not for a title, but for respect.
KK: James Breeze V.S. Morgoth is a main event type of match, this is a match I simply can't wait for any longer!
TB: Our new International Champion, Dan Sawyer will be defending the title at Infinity Minus One against a new face within the HWA, his name, Jociah Malacai.
KK: And of course since we our going into one of our most important events, its not going to be a normal match. It will be none other then an "I Quit" match up! One of these men will quit from how much pain they've suffered, who will it be?
TB: We have an uncalled match-up which will be for the HWA Tag titles. And the losers of the team will face each other next week on Survival.
KK: I wonder on who it would be? Hopefully we find out later tonight.
TB: The return of Grim Jack himself! As he has issued a challenge to none other then Kevin Conner.
KK: Grim Jack returns at Infinity Minus One! To face none other then one of his most hated rivals, Kevin Conner. This will be an outstanding match that I am looking forward to.
TB: And it only gets better! The main event is for the HWA World Heavyweight Championship.
KK: The runners up going for the title are none other then a newcomer to the HWA, his name is Canadian Prime Time. I would personally love to see Canadian Prime Time win the heavyweight title to show to his Canadian home and fans.
TB: Another runner up going for the Heavyweight Championship is none other then former Militia Member, Dylan Wolfe! Dylan Wolfe is a legend in the HWA, we'll have to see if he can capture the gold in his hometown.
KK: I feel bad for this guy.he will already be tired out from his match up.but he's getting a once and a life time opportunity. And that man is none other then Dan Sawyer. He has been impressing me lately. Will he be able to defend the international title and capture the World Heavyweight Championship?
TB: And the last man that was introduced is a rookie who has been through so much within the HWA. He's a former member of the Militia and was brought up by former Heavyweight Champion, Ryan Maxem. He's none other than Kamikaze.
KK: Four men battling it out in none other then a Hell In A Cell..bodies will be hurt, blood will be across the ring, hell.will break loose.
TB: Well, its time to get ready for our first match up.
KK: Yeah, it seems like C.J. is still being hung by the balls with that contract he signed, he will be facing none other then the whole HWA.
TB: Well, you never disrespect the boss like that.ever.
C.J. Rock V.S. The HWA
All of a sudden "Blood Brothers" by Papa Roach hits the arena. The fans start booing as C.J. Rock comes out from the HWA curtains. Fans throw popcorn and soda at him. Then all of a sudden a bucket of vomit is thrown at C.J. Rock as its all over his hair. C.J. Rock looks disgusted with a frown on his face. He slides in the ring and awaits his opponents.
TB: Ha, it seems as if C.J. is about to cry for what has just happened.
KK: I almost feel bad for C.J.
TB: Why?
KK: I said ALMOST.
"Here To Stay" by Korn hits the arena and the fans give a loud pop for the new comer to the HWA. Blade runs in, reaches the floor, then up the top ropes, beats his hands against his chest a couple of times and raises his arms.
KK: Blade seems to be hyped up for this match-up.
TB: A little too hyped up.
The bell doesn't even ring and Blade charges to Rock and delivers a strong shoulder block. C.J. gets up and Blade Irish whips C.J onto the turnbuckle and delivers a huge body splash. C.J comes off from the turnbuckle about to fall and Blade gives him a clothesline.
KK: The match hasn't even started yet.
TB: Blade is probably trying to get rid of some competition for Infinity Minus One.
All of a sudden "The Angel And The Gambler" by Iron Maiden hit the arena. Fans start to boo as Maverick comes out from the black curtains. Maverick takes his time walking towards the ring as he is bickering at fans. He slides in the ring and looks at the beating that Blade is giving C.J.
TB: Maverick seems to be checking out the competition up close.
KK: I have a feeling this is going to get brutal.
Blade starts stomping on C.J and all of a sudden he sees Maverick right behind him. Blade runs toward Maverick to deliver a clothesline and Maverick ducks and counters it with a No Limit Hold ' Em. Blade starts feeling the effect and starts to lose his balance as he falls to the ground as Maverick continues to hold the submission.
TB: Maverick seems to have Blade where he wants him.
KK: I thought this was everyone fighting C.J Rock? What's going on here?
All of a sudden "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down hits the arena. Fans roar with excitement to hear The Real Hero's theme music. The Real Hero comes out with a green cape on as he runs towards the ring and he takes it off. He slides in the ring and hits Maverick with a knee to the face.
KK: This match is going insane!
TB: This is not even the main event!
The Real Hero picks up Maverick and throws him out the ring. The Real Hero checks on Blade to see if he is alright. All of a sudden C.J Rock gets up from the mat and delivers a drop kick to The Real Hero. The Real Hero falls through the ropes and his head hits the floor first.
KK: C.J has just been playing dead this whole time!
TB: A smart move by C.J.
C.J Rock picks up Blade and Irish whips him. C.J Rock delivers a clothesline to Blade and C.J Rock tries to go for the pin. The ref makes the count. 1,2..
All of a sudden "Before I Forget" by SlipKnot hits the arena. C.J Rock jumps up from the pin and has a petrified face. Jason Slater runs towards the ring and C.J stands in fear.
TB: The Xtreme Champion is out here!
KK: Wow.C.J is intimidated.
C.J runs towards Jason and Jason delivers The Unstoppable Force! C.J rolls out of the ring in pain, holding his ribs. Jason seems to be taunting Blade to get up. Blade starts recovering and staggers to his feet. Blade turns around and Jason delivers The Unstoppable Force! Maverick comes from behind Jason and gives Jason a dropkick to the back of the head. Slater falls face first on the mat as Maverick goes outside the ring and gets C.J.
KK: Maverick just came out of no-where and knocked the Xtreme Champion out cold!
Maverick rolls C.J back into the ring and The Real Hero slides into the ring to deliver a drop kick to Maverick. Maverick falls to the mat and TRH picks Maverick up and hits the Heroic Ending! THR walks up to C.J to get a low blow and THR falls on his knees.
TB: The Real Hero is down by a hit below the belt.
KK: No matter how strong you are, a hit there will knock you out.
C.J goes for the pin on TRH. 1..2..
All of a sudden "Name Of The Game" by The Crystal Method hits the arena. C.J jumps up once again. Kamikaze comes out from the black curtains and starts running toward the ring. Kamikaze slides in the ring, as Kamikaze stares at C.J.
TB: Kamikaze looks pissed.
KK: C.J is tired of getting an ass kicking.its funny though.
Kamikaze starts giving right hands towards C.J. C.J is trapped on the turnbuckle and Kamikaze starts nailing the 9 Millimeter Combo! C.J is about to fall to the canvas as Kamikaze lifts up C.J and hits The Suicidal Drop.
KK: C.J has to be knocked out after that.
TB: Who wouldn't?
Jason Slater staggers to his feet and sees Kamikaze. Kamikaze doesn't see Slater and Slater runs towards Kamikaze, all of a sudden Kamikaze hits The Heart Breaker on Jason. Jason rolls out of the ring in pain.
TB: Kamikaze is cleaning up the mess.
KK: He's making more of a mess!
Maverick comes out of no-where and nails a sleeper on Kamikaze. Kamikaze starts to feel the effects as he falls on the mat.
TB: Maverick is excellent at submissions.
KK: It's his specialty.
The crowd starts to chant Kamikaze's name. Kamikaze starts waking up and starts staggering to his feet. Kamikaze nails an elbow on Maverick. He nails another elbow on Maverick as Maverick is losing grip. He nails another elbow and Maverick lets go. Kamikaze runs to the ropes, Maverick goes for a clothesline. Kamikaze ducks and delivers a flying clothesline towards Maverick. Maverick flies outside the ring.
TB: The fans seem to be excited to see Kamikaze.
KK: He is ready for that title.
Kamikaze gets out of the ring and looks underneath the ring. Kamikaze finds two chairs as he sets them up. Kamikaze puts Maverick on the two chairs as Maverick lies there out cold. Kamikaze gets back inside the ring, he runs towards the ropes and does a 180 Vault Press! The fans start chanting "Holy Shit"
KK: What a suicidal move..Kamikaze hurt himself as much as he hurt Maverick.
TB: They are both out cold.
All of a sudden "Blood Brothers" by Papa Roach is heard.
TB: Why is C.J Rock's music playing?
KK: I don't know.
Both Cory and Chuck Rivers come out of the curtains to get a large amount of boos. They both walk slowly to the ring, as they seem extremely confident. They both walk up the steel steps and get inside the ring.
TB: Both of these guys are huge.
KK: When is this all going to end?
Cory and Chuck look at Blade. He is lifeless in the ring. Chuck smiles and tells Cory to pick him up. Cory picks Blade up and shoves him towards Chuck, Chuck delivers a spine buster on Blade. Cory kicks Blade out of the ring.
KK: Great double team by these two brothers.
TB: They haven't even had a match yet, and they're making an impact!
Cory picks up The Real Hero and gives him an RKO! Chuck picks up The Real Hero and Irish Whips him. The River brothers deliver The River Below! Cory kicks TRH out of the ring. Chuck picks up C.J and delivers a Spine Buster. All of a sudden Cory goes to the top rope to deliver a leg drop!
TB: That's none other then Brotherly Love!
KK: No kidding.
Cory pins C.J Rock.
WC: 1! 2! 3!
"Blood Brothers" by Papa Roach hits and The River Brothers leave the ring with the mess they caused.
TB: I think that was just a message towards Dylan and The Real Hero.
KK: These two are the real deal.
Commercial Break
TB: Jimmy Lemke's shot to C.J. Rock is reaching culmination, as the former Xtreme Champion was pinned in a gauntlet match by Cory Rivers.
KK: Before that, Cory hit The Real Hero with an RKO, sending a message, but none moreso than the River Below they gave to TRH.
TB: That is going to be one hell of a title match tonight.
The lights turn red and begin to flash on and off during the intro of 'Before I Forget' by Slipknot followed by a burst of flames as 'The Only' Joe Henry strolls onto the stage signalling Jason 'The Rhyno' Slater to follow him. As he does so, Jason lets out a huge roaring scream and walks down to the ring as the crowd boo at him. Jason, unaffected by the fans, climbs into the ring and up onto the turnbuckle where he roars again and raises his arms as Joe Henry climbs the steps and into the ring, applauding his client.
KK: I like Jason Slater. He's quite a wrestler.
"The Angel and the Gambler" by Iron Maiden plays on the speakers. Maverick McMasters emerges from backstage, wearing a suit. He is followed by Shane, his financial advisor and servant. On his way down to the ring, McMasters removes any jewelry and hands it to Shane. After the jewelry is done, he usually spits on the crowd, and removes his coat and vest. He undoes his cuff links, removes his shirt, and enters the ring wearing an undershirt and dress pants, which hardly conceal the muscles. He dismisses Shane, who immediately leaves the ring and sits at the announcer's table, Maverick's attire laid out in front of him. Maverick stretches, and looks to the other side of the ring, staring at Slater.
TB: These are two highly touted men, newcomers to the HWA, and I hope that they pan out.
Wallace Cunningham rings the bell, and the match starts. The men circle each other.
KK: Wait! Slater, look out!
A man dressed in jeans and a t-shirt reading "RoadHouse" slides in the ring carrying a chair. He gives Jason Slater a cannon of a shot on the head, knocking out the Xtreme Champion immediately.
TB: What the hell is going on! What the hell!
KK: I can't believe it! Oh, no!
The man gives a blatant shot straight to Maverick McMasters. Maverick doesn't collapse like Slater, so the man gives him a real smack, knocking him out as well.
TB: This man has just invaded the ring! What's going on!
Shane and Joe Henry both try and get in, to help their men. Shane is sent flying as soon as he enters with a shot. Joe Henry is alone in the ring when the guy turns around, and flees the ring. He grabs a microphone given to him by the ring announcer.
Man: I am the American Reality RoadHouse...and I am going to rock your world! Next week, the Xtreme Title is MINE!
Since the match is for the Xtreme Title, there is no disqualification. RoadHouse lays McMasters on top of Slater.
TB: We could have a new champion!
WC: 1! 2! 3!
KK: Maverick McMasters, in an impressive victory!
TB: You have got to be kidding me.
Commercial Break
TB: We are back, and not only had C.J. Rock been humiliated once again, but for the third time in as many weeks, we have a new Xtreme champion!
KK: That's right, Trent, and there's a LOT more where that came from!
TB: Our next match is a tag match, where Jociah Malacai and Kevin Conner take on Ryan Maxem and Kamikaze!
"Master of Puppets" by Metallica plays on the audio system. The fans, used to this by now, get up and give their customary boos to the President in Charge, Jimmy Lemke. Lemke enters, and stands on the top of the stage. He holds a microphone, and waits until the crowd dies down. He speaks to the masses.
JL: I know you don't like me. However, have I ever booked a match that you didn't like?
TB: He's only been in charge three weeks, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. No, the fans like his matches, and so do I.
JL: Now, who is looking forward to seeing Jociah Malacai and Kevin Conner take on Kamikaze and Ryan Maxem?
The fans in the stands cheer, and a Kamikaze chant breaks out in a certain section, but doesn't catch on. Lemke presses on.
JL: Who would like to see two more teams entered into this match?
TB: I think that would be quite a match!
JL: What if I said those teams would be the Rivers Brothers, and Wolfe-Hero?
The fans nearly explode. They can't believe what they are hearing.
JL: That's right. This match is canceled. So, later tonight, you will see the Team Fatal Four Way match for the Tag Team Championship!
TB: Whoa! Amazing!
KK: That rocks my socks!
JL: That's right, a tag team for every post. However, this will be an elimination style rules match. Once both members of a team are pinned, they are done! That means, at least 6 wrestlers will be pinned in this ring! Let the games begin!
Lemke disappears behind the curtain. Meanwhile, "King of my World" by Saliva plays for the first time in weeks. Madison fans boo at the Ohio native, Kevin Conner, as he and Jociah Malacai enter the arena. Conner, a multiple time tag champion, shows the fans where the belt will be on his waist. The pair reach the ring, enter it, and begin taunting the crowd.
TB: Kevin Conner is a big time player in the tag team circle. He could come into play big time in this mat
KK: I think Conner and Jociah have a good shot.
"When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 hits the arena. The fans explode, as two Militia members, Ryan Maxem and Kamikaze, enter to their old music, even though they are not a true team. Maxem taunts the crowd, and Kamikaze shakes hands with fans. They enter the ring and scare off Conner and Malacai, who hop out. They get ready to taunt the crowd some more, when their music stops, and "Blood Brothers" by Papa Roach plays.
TB: I can only assume that C.J. Rock is no longer an employee here, so I also assume that this is the Rivers Brothers.
True to form, Cory and Chuck Rivers emerge from backstage. During their walk to the ring, Cory acts ready to roll, while Chuck looks reserved and full of concentration. The brothers enter the ring, forcing Maxem and Kamikaze out. Malacai and Conner move to the side of the ring, to avoid confrontation. The Rivers Brothers taunt the crowd.
TB: Finally, we get to see these boys in proper tag team action. Do you think they've got the stuff to be tag champs, Keith?
KK: Yes, Trent, I do. I think they will start a nice regime here in HWA.
The super screen shows a wolf, silhouetted against the moon, atop a hill, howling. The fans get on their feet. The opening lines of "Reconnect" by Sevendust play, however, the music stops. "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down hits the audio system, and the behemoth Real Hero enters, followed closely by the Charismatic Kid, Dylan Wolfe. The pop they receive is one of the largest face pulls any person has ever gotten. Dylan and Hero walk down the entranceway, signaling to fans. Maxem and Kamikaze can be seen, smiling, as their friend gains momentum. When they reach the floor, Dylan walks around and shakes hands with Kamikaze and Maxem. The Real Hero slides in the ring, prompting an exit for the Rivers Brothers. Wolfe slides in the ring, and talks with TRH. Wolfe goes to the entrance-left corner, and The Real Hero leans against the ropes.
TB: We are ready for the tag team championship match! Four teams, two belts, one spot to shine!
KK: Let's get it on!
The remaining teams find corners. Maxem, TRH, Cory Rivers, and Conner start out inside the ring. The bell rings, and Conner immediately hits Maxem, who he was intended to fight.
TB: This match is under way!
KK: Conner with a clothesline on Maxem, I like his style.
TB: Cory Rivers with a darting dropkick, sends TRH to his corner.
Cory Rivers runs to clothesline TRH, but finds an elbow in his face. Cory stumbles away from the corner as The Real Hero stalks after his prey. The younger River sibling turns around right into the tall man as Hero picks up Cory with ease and plants him with a hard Scoop Slam!
TB: What impact by The Real Hero!
Hero turns his attention to Chuck and yells for the older and bigger River brother to “come get some.” Chuck is more then eager to oblige as he climbs through the ropes and charges Hero.
TB: Chuck Rivers in illegally here and we’ve got two behemoths going at it!
Chuck and TRH exchange hard rights, neither one trying to give any lee-way to the other. Rivers seems to gain the advantage as he’s got TRH reeling but it appears that Hero was only feinting the advantage as Rivers shoots for a huge Clothesline but TRH ducks it with ease. Using his momentum, Hero emerges behind Chuck and lifts him high into the air, dropping the elder Rivers’ brother on his back with a huge Backdrop!
TB: The Real Hero seems to be firing up here and the fans are loving it!
Hero is up just as Cory meets him with a huge forearm shiver. TRH stumbles back up against the ropes as Cory grabs the big man and attempts to Irish Whip him across the ring. Hero goes with the flow and quickly reverses his footing, ending up using Cory’s momentum against him and whipping Cory into the ropes. Cory bounces off and right into Hero as lifts him up and slams him down with a Powerslam!
KK: Come on! This is getting out of hand! Someone needs to stop The Real Hero!
Chants of “Hero” rise up from the crowd as he rises to his feet again to see Chuck staggering over to the ropes. Hero charges and leaps into the air, connecting on a Big Dropkick and sending the elder Rivers brother toppling over the top rope!
TB: What a dropkick by The Real Hero and he seems to be unstoppable!
The fans are soaking all of this in as Hero turns his attention over to Conner who is pummeling away on Ryan Maxem in the corner with tremendous fury. Hero glares at the back of Conner’s head, remembering better days of when the two were Tag Team Champions together. Jociah yells to Conner, warning him of possible danger as Conner gives Maxem one last hard punch which drops Maxem to the mat. Conner then turns and stares at his former partner as an intense moment is shared between the two HWA superstars.
TB: I’m sure our HWA faithful certainly remembers the history between these two men!
Hero motions for Conner to make a move and, indeed he does. Conner quickly tags Jociah into the ring as the crowd rains down a shower of boos at Conner.
KK: Ha! That’s why I love Conner! He’s always thinking!
Jociah doesn’t waste any time as he gets into the ring and charges TRH, hitting a series of quick punches and chops and sending the big man reeling back against the ropes. Jociah goes for an Irish Whip but, again, Hero is able to use his opponent’s momentum against them and send them into the ropes instead. Malacai bounces off the ropes and right into Hero as he lifts him up into the air, possibly for a Backbreaker. Instead, Malacai’s able to go with the flow and flip out of the predicament and land on his feet. Hero is shocked as Malacai delivers a stiff kick to the gut and then drops Hero onto his face with a DDT!
TB: What a counter by Malacai and… oh! DDT! What impact!
Conner yells to Malacai, wanting into the match. Jociah obliges his partner on this occasion as Conner hops over the ropes and stalks behind TRH as the fans boo their disapproval of the man.
TB: Oh sure, now that Malacai has got The Real Hero down Conner wants into the match.
Hero shakes off the effect of the DDT and gets to his feet as Conner lunges at his opponent from behind, wrapping his arms around Hero’s body. Conner then falls back, lifting the 250 lb. Hero over his body and slamming him down onto his back and neck with a German Suplex! Conner keeps his hands locked as he pulls TRH up to his feet once more and, again, Conner lifts Hero over his body and slams him down with another German Suplex!
TB: Two german suplexs in a-row here and it appears Conner is going for the tri-fecta!
Conner drags Hero up again and, again, goes for the German but Hero appears to counter the attack. Conner, again, attempts the move but Hero, again, seems to block it. Having gotten back to his feet and seeing this altercation, Cory Rivers decides to get involved as he bounces off the ropes and charges forward towards Hero. Raising his arm, Cory connects with a huge Clothesline, thus aiding Conner in his attempt as it appears to be just enough to lift Hero up off the mat and slam him down for the third German Suplex!
TB: Oh my God, a Clothesline from Hell by Cory Rivers which, in turn, allowed Conner to hit that third German Suplex!
KK: Tremendous teamwork there Trent!
Conner and Cory get up and nod each other and turn around just to see Ryan Maxem dart out of the corner turnbuckle and drive both of them down with a huge Double Clothesline!
TB: A Double Clothesline by Ryan Maxem and now everyone’s down!
Ryan Maxem pushes himself up off the mat as he turns towards Cory Rivers and pulls him to his feet. Whipping him against the ropes, Cory bounces off and runs right into Maxem’s Big Boot!
TB: A huge boot by Maxem and Cory appears to be out cold!
KK: I wouldn’t blame him, Maxem’s feet probably smell.
Maxem turns and sees Conner stumbling to his feet. Maxem gets down in a crouch position as he taunts for Conner to turn around. Conner turns and sees Maxem as Maxem charges forward with a full head of steam. Maxem lunges at Conner but Conner manages to leap-frog as Maxem ends up plowing right into the recovering Real Hero with a Spear!
TB: Spear! Spear! Maxem went for the Spear on Conner but hit The Real Hero instead!
Maxem staggered to his feet, not sure what happened, as Conner uses the opportunity to latch his hands around Maxem’s head and drop him down to the mat with a Sleeper Drop!
TB: Conner capitalizing on the situation and dropping Maxem with a quick Sleeper Drop!
Conner quickly gets to his feet as he looks over at the nearest turnbuckle. A twisted smirk on his face, Conner makes his way over to the turnbuckle and easily leaps up onto the top.
TB: Looks like Conner may be going for the finisher here on Maxem!
Conner looks out at the crowd as they boo his actions, while a select few who are still loyal to “The Hardcore Icon” cheer and applaud. Conner leaps off, looking for the One Of A Kind but his show-boating cost him as Maxem managed to roll out of the way just in the nick of time!
TB: One Of A Kind does not connect!
KK: Oh no! Conner’s in trouble now!
Conner staggers to his feet, holding his ribs as Maxem sweeps Conner’s legs out from underneath him and then locks in a Sharpshooter!
TB: Untouchable! Untouchable! Maxem’s got the Untouchable locked in on Kevin Conner!
The fans cheer and scream in approval as a “Tap Out!” chant rises up from the crowd as Conner screams in pain. Conner frantically claws and scratches his way towards the ropes but just as Conner nears the ropes, Maxem pulls him straight back into the middle of the ring.
TB: Conner has no where to go here and he may be forced to tap out!
KK: No! Fight it Conner! Fight it!
The fans continue to yell for Conner to tap out but he refuses as grits his teeth and tries to fight the pain. Realizing that he doesn’t have the strength to attempt another rope break, Conner pushes himself up off the mat, if anything just to relieve some of the pressure on his legs. Conner attempts to power out of the predicament but to no avail as he drops to the mat, almost void of any energy left. As if accepting defeat, Conner begins to lift his hand as the crowd screams it’s approval.
TB: I think Conner’s going to tap here!
KK: No! Hold on Conner, just a few more seconds!
Before the decision can be made, Cory Rivers comes out of nowhere and leaps into the air, grabbing Maxem’s head and dropping him face-first to the mat with an RKO!
TB: RKO! RKO! Cory Rivers just came out of no-where and hit the RKO on Ryan Maxem!
Cory Rivers quickly makes the cover as Wallace Cunningham gets down and makes the count. One... Kamikaze tries to get into the ring to break up the count… Two… Chuck Rivers intervenes and nails a devastating Running Big Boot to Justin’s face… Three!
TB: I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it! Cory Rivers just picked up a victory over Ryan Maxem!
KK: I told you he was impressive Trent.
Cory gets up off the mat, overjoyed over pinning a 3-Time HWA World Champion as Chuck yells for his little brother to cover Kamikaze. Seeing another person ripe for the taking, Cory dives onto Justin and hooks the leg. One… Dylan Wolfe slips unnoticed into the ring… Two… Dylan runs and drops a Leg Drop across the back of Cory’s neck, breaking up the count!
KK: Hey, what’s Dylan doing! Kamikaze’s not on his team!
TB: Must be a little flashback to Militia days Keith!
The fans cheer Dylan’s actions as Wallace orders for the superstar to get out of the ring. Dylan reluctantly obliges as Cory shakes off the cobwebs and makes it to his corner and tags in Chuck. Chuck cases a wayward glance towards Dylan as the fans start up a “Wolfe” chant. Wolfe appears fired up and ready to go as Chuck turns his attention back to Kamikaze. Rivers pulls Justin up to his feet and lifts him high above his head in a Gorilla Press.
TB: Kamikaze in no man’s land as Chuck Rivers showcasing his superior strength here!
Chuck turns and sees TRH beginning to get up to his feet. Chuck opts to throw Kamikaze at Hero as TRH turns just in time to Justin Times coming at him. Hero catches the lighter opponent with ease as he shakes his head “no” at the young rookie. Chuck Rivers appears to be in disbelief at what just happened as Hero easily throws Kamikaze up onto his shoulder.
TB: Well Chuck Rivers looking to take out two men with one stone, so to speak, but I think he may’ve underestimated The Real Hero here!
Hero charges forward at Chuck Rivers as he begins to flip Kamikaze down, as if going for a Scoop Slam. But because of their close proximity, Justin’s feet end up around Chuck’s neck and Kamikaze is able to hit a modified version of a Hurricanrana on the elder Rivers’!
TB: Whoa! What tandem offense there by The Real Hero and Kamikaze but you have to wonder if that’s what they had both planned to do there!
Kamikaze gets up to his feet and seems to want to thank TRH but Hero quickly meets him with a kick to the gut, followed by pulling Justin’s head in-between his legs.
TB: Uh oh, could be the Heroic Ending here for Kamikaze!
Conner, who is still feeling the effects of Maxem’s Untouchable, dives to his corner and tags in Jociah. As Hero begins to lift Kamikaze up, Jociah quickly runs into the ring and attaches a Sleeper Chokehold onto TRH, breaking up his finisher!
TB: A Sleeper Chokehold! A Sleeper Chokehold! Jociah has The Real Hero in a Sleeper Chokehold and Hero is in a lot of trouble here!
The Real Hero, taken aback by the sudden attack, stumbles around the ring as Jociah seems to have a firm lock on the submission hold. Kamikaze simply slumps to the mat and watches Hero squirm from the hold, a slight smirk on his face as he can’t quite help himself but to enjoy this.
TB: Jociah is quite known for his submission skills and I think that The Real Hero may have no choice here but to tap out!
Settling himself from the initial shock of a sneak attack, TRH begins to slowing inch his way towards the ropes, using his impressive size and frame to his advantage. On the other side of the ring, Chuck has recovered from the Hurricanrana and is stalking behind Kamikaze, preparing for a huge impact move. Justin slowly pushes himself up and suddenly remembers that there is still another person involved in the match. Turning, Kamikaze is met with a devastating Running Big Boot which nearly takes off Justin’s head!
TB: My God what a Boot to the face!
KK: You ain’t kidding, I’m surprise Kamikaze’s head is still in-tact!
TB: And now Chuck Rivers with the cover!
One… Two… Thr-Kick out!
TB: Kamikaze just barely able to kick out there!
KK: Well with Ryan Maxem out of this match and so many other opponents remaining, the odds aren’t really in Kamikaze’s favor. That being said, I’m surprised he didn’t just allow Chuck to finish him off there and end the punishment.
TB: Well Kamikaze’s a fighter Keith, and he’s not going to give it up just yet!
Meanwhile, TRH is reaching desperately for the ropes but Malacai’s feet seem planted as he refuses to give up another inch. It appears that Hero is fading quickly but Dylan Wolfe, realizing the peril his partner is in, leans over as far as he can and extends his hand to Hero, looking for a tag.
TB: Dylan Wolfe looking for the hot tag here and the fans are anxious to see it as Dylan has been kept quite isolated in his corner this entire match.
Jociah realizes the error of his ways and attempts desperately to pull Hero away but Hero, seeing one last chance at getting out of this predicament, fights on as he extends his hand towards his partner.
TB: Come on Hero, you can do it! Just a few more inches!
Jociah is shaking his head furiously as he continues to keep trying to pull Hero away but to no avail. Hero’s arm is shaking violently as he tries to fight the excruciating pain and make the hot tag to his partner. In one last ditch effort, Hero lunges forward with all his strength and completely breaks free of the Sleeper Chokehold, tagging in Dylan Wolfe!
TB: And Dylan gets the tag! Here comes Dylan Wolfe!
Jociah falls backwards, not expecting such a show of strength from TRH. Staggering back to his feet, he is met with a devastating leg-sweeping clothesline!
TB: STO! STO! Dylan Wolfe with an STO on Jociah and he’s coming in hot here!
Seeing the fresh opponent into the ring, Chuck looks to take advantage as he forgets about Kamikaze and charges towards Dylan. Dylan turns to see the attack and ducks the clothesline, slipping behind Rivers. Wrapping his arms around Chuck’s waist, Dylan lifts him up and slams him down on the back of his head/neck!
TB: German Suplex and the fans are going crazy!
Dylan quickly gets back up to his feet, pumping his fist as he is feeling it now. Dylan turns back to Jociah as he is beginning to get back up to his feet. Dylan stalks behind Malacai, waiting for him to turn around. Stumbling into Dylan, Jociah finds himself on Dylan’s shoulders as Dylan plants him head/face first into the mat with a Death Valley Driver!
TB: DW Driver! DW Driver! Dylan Wolfe is holding nothing back here!
Dylan gets back up to his feet as he turns his attention towards Chuck Rivers. Chuck is attempting to get back up to his feet but is quickly met with a Shining Wizard kick to the temple!
TB: Enchanted Dream! Enchanted Dream! Dylan Wolfe hits the Enchanted Dream and I can hardly hear my own voice!
The crowd is standing, applauding, chanting, you name it… as Dylan gets back to his feet once more and acknowledges the crowd’s reaction with a nod of his head. Dylan then goes over to Kamikaze and helps him up as Justin breaks free of Dylan’s grasp, having expected someone to do more damage. Seeing that it is his friend, Justin seems to calm down a bit as Dylan appears to be trying to reason with him.
KK: What the hell is this!? Is Dylan trying to form an alliance here with Kamikaze!
TB: Well the two are friends and, in Kamikaze’s state, he’s down a tag partner. Perhaps Dylan’s trying to lend a helping hand here.
Dylan appears to be offering a sort of “truce” as Kamikaze seems to like the sound of it, nodding his head. Dylan gives Justin the thumbs up and turns around, prepared to finish Chuck Rivers and Jociah Malacai off. Suddenly, though, Justin rolls Dylan up in a School-Boy pin!
TB: What the…!? Kamikaze just rolled up Dylan!
Wallace Cunningham, the ref, seemed a bit taken aback by this as well but the shock wore off as he got down and made the count. One… Two…
TB: Come on Dylan! Kick out! Kick out!
Three! Wallace ordered for the bell as the fans rained down a chorus of boos as Kamikaze rolled away from his friend and Dylan staggered to his feet, stunned.
TB: Kamikaze just pulled a quick one on Dylan Wolfe and Dylan’s been eliminated!
Dylan looked around the ring stunned as Kamikaze propped himself up against the ropes, looking over at his friend. Dylan’s eyes fell upon Justin as Kamikaze lifted his shoulders and shook his head, clearly not happy with having had to dupe his friend into that predicament.
KK: Ha, ha! That was great! I think I’m beginning to like this Kamikaze fella!
TB: Well I guess it is every man for himself but I… I don’t know. I just can’t believe that this is how Dylan was eliminated.
Dylan’s initial shock wore off as he nodded his head at Kamikaze, understanding his friends actions. Dylan calmly walked over to Justin and extended his hand to his friend. The crowd cheered Dylan’s sportsmanship as Kamikaze wearily looked on.
TB: Well Dylan appears to be extending his hand to Justin but will Kamikaze accept the offer?
KK: It’s clearly a trick Trent, Dylan is simply trying to get back at Kamikaze but I highly doubt that Justin Times is dumb enough to fall for it. Only someone like… well… like Dylan Wolfe would allow himself to be caught off guard.
Kamikaze, after thinking it over, extends his hand as well as the two friends shake hands. The fans applaud the two when Dylan suddenly goes downstairs with a kick to the gut. Pulling Justin into him, Dylan lifted Kamikaze up and slammed him down hard with an Emerald Fusion!
TB: Oh dear Lord, Punishment Wolfe! Punishment Wolfe! Dylan Wolfe just crumpled Kamikaze up like an accordion there with that Punishment Wolfe!
KK: I told you Dylan Wolfe couldn’t be trusted!
The fans seemed to cheer Dylan’s actions as he looked down at his friend, the camera zooming in on his face as he says the words “now we’re even.” Dylan then averts his gaze to the crowd as he raises one arm up in the air, drawing an even bigger reaction from the crowd.
TB: Well Dylan Wolfe getting a measure of retribution there on Kamikaze but there is still plenty of tag action that remains ladies and gentlemen. Two upper tier superstars in Ryan Maxem and Dylan Wolfe have already been eliminated, who’s next? Don’t go anywhere folks, this one is just getting started!
Commercial Break
TB: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen as the action has pretty much been dominated by The Real Hero during the commercial break!
The HWATron lights up as we see TRH quickly dispose of Chuck Rivers with a thunderous clothesline which sends the eldest Rivers brother toppling over the top rope and to the outside. A clip is then shown of Hero lifting Kamikaze high up above his head and tossing him over the top rope and to the outside, where he lands atop a raising Chuck Rivers, sending them both down to the floor. Having seen enough, Conner entered the ring, hoping to get the advantage on the big man but TRH fought back and, currently, has Conner’s head in-between his legs.
TB: Uh oh, could be time for Conner’s Heroic Ending, Keith!
KK: No! Somebody stop this! Conner’s not even a legal man in the match! Get him out of there ref!
Hero lifts Conner up into the air but Conner manages to slip out of TRH’s grasp and drop down right before him. Grabbing Hero and slipping his leg behind Hero’s, Conner falls backwards, driving TRH’s face straight into the mat with a Downward Spiral!
KK: Soul Searcher! Soul Searcher! There is it baby! The Soul Searcher! Ha, ha, ha! Take that Hero!
TB: What a counter as Kevin manages to counter the Heroic Ending straight into the Soul Searcher!
The fans boo as Conner gets to his feet and looks down at Hero. Conner then turns to his teammate, Jociah, and yells for him to make the cover. Malacai obediently obliges his partner as he hastens over to Hero’s prone body and makes the cover. Wallace makes the count.
KK: Ha, ha, it’s over baby! See ya later Hero, thanks for playing!
One… Two… Thre-Kick Out!
TB: Kick out! Kick out! The Real Hero just kicked out!
KK: What!? Impossible! It had to have been a slow count!
Conner, who had been counting with Wallace, stared in disbelief as Jociah looked over at his partner, stunned. The crowd started a huge “Hero” chant as both Malacai and Conner got in Cunningham’s face, arguing that it was a “three.”
TB: Somehow, someway… The Real Hero managed to kick out!
Outside the ring, Chuck and Kamikaze appeared to have recovered from their earlier collision and were ferociously battling it out outside the ring. Unbeknownst to them, Cory had ascended the top turnbuckle and was now waiting for his moment to strike. Both Chuck and Kamikaze seemed to catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of their eye as the two men looked over to see Cory leap off the top rope and fly down to the floor, driving his body into both men with a Top Rope/Vertical Cross Body!
TB: Oh my God! Cory Rivers with a vertical cross body from the top rope and all three men are down!
KK: It’s moves like that that got the Rivers brothers into the HWA. Not saying that it was a smart move, far from it in fact… but it was certainly hardcore!
Chants of “Hero! Hero!” were now mixed with “Holy Shit! Holy Shit!” as Malacai and Conner seemed to have calmed themselves down as Jociah informed Conner to keep watch as he finish Hero off. Malacai stalked behind Hero as the tall man slowly tried to get to his feet. Sensing danger, TRH turned as Malacai delivered a stiff kick to the gut and pulled Hero’s head in towards his body. Crossing Hero’s arms in front of him, Malacai lifted the 7’1” Hero vertically up into the air and then dropped him straight down to the mat, his arms still locked within Malacai’s, thus forcing Hero’s face/neck to take the brunt of the damage without any protection.
TB: Angel’s Breath! Angel’s Breath! Malacai hits the Angel’s Breath on Hero and enough is enough! There’s no way Hero is kicking out of this one!
A sick smirk comes across Conner’s face as he sees a small cut open on Hero’s forehead from the impact of his face being driven straight down into the mat. The crowd, however, has quieted at the sight of the devastating Cross-Armed Brainbuster and could only watch in disbelief as Malacai made the cover on one of their favorites.
KK: Just goes to show you how stupid Hero is, he should’ve just accepted defeat when Conner hit the Soul Searcher. Now all he’s done is delayed the inevitable and, more importantly, probably suffered more serious injuries.
Wallace got down as Conner looked on with a wide smile on his face. One…
TB: Well you can’t expect Hero to kick out after that move people. I think it’d be a miracle if he’s even conscious at this point.
Two…
KK: Like I said Trent, Hero has only himself to blame.
Thre-Kick Out!
TB: Wait a minute! Wait a damn minute! Hero just kicked out! Hero just kicked out!
KK: How!? How!? I… I… I don’t believe it!
TB: Believe it, Keith! Hero’s still very much in this one!
The silent and somber crowd was alive once more as a deafening ovation of cheers rang up through-out the arena as Conner’s smile was wiped from his face. Jociah held his head in frustration as Hero rolled onto his side, blood flowing freely from the cut. Conner seemed to go into a state of rage as he quickly fell on top of Hero and began to bash his skull in with hard rights and lefts.
TB: Oh come on now! This is just sick!
The fans boo as Wallace attempts to pull Conner off of Hero. Kevin simply shoves Wallace to the mat and quickly goes back to opening Hero’s cut even further. Chants of “asshole” rise up through the masses as Jociah looks on in shock. Realizing that they could get disqualified for their actions, Malacai rushes over to Conner and damn-near drags him off of Hero. The crowd cheers Jociah’s actions as Conner turns and gets in his partners face.
TB: Jociah doing the right thing there and now Conner is reprimanding his teammate!
KK: You never interrupt a man when he’s beating the holy-hell out of another Trent, it’s just simple logic.
The two continue to trash talk, their faces inches from each other. Finally, Conner shoves Jociah as Jociah staggers back… a bit dumbfounded at what his teammate was doing. Malacai turns and stares out at the crowd as they seem to be soaking this up, loving every bit of it. Jociah lowers his head, accepting defeat, as the evil grin comes across Conner’s face. Conner begins to turn back to Hero but is quickly cut short with a hard kick to the face from Malacai!
TB: Super Kick! Super Kick! Jociah just hit a devastating Super Kick on “The Hardcore Icon!”
KK: Hey! What the hell!? That’s your partner!
The fans were going absolutely crazy at this point as Jociah stood over the fallen Conner, his eyes glaring with intensity. A small “Jociah” chant rang up from the masses as Malacai continued to stare down at his “partner.” However, this little altercation was all the Rivers brothers had needed as the two had easily ganged up on Kamikaze on the outside and, having Irish Whipped him into the steel steps, knew that he’d be out of the equation for awhile. Turning their attention back to inside the ring, the two brothers had quietly slipped in and were now positioned behind Jociah. Jociah, sensing that something was wrong, turned around right into a devastating 3D-like move!
TB: The River Below! The River Below! Cory and Chuck River just hit the River Below on Jociah and what a devastating finisher!
Chuck, who is the legal of the two brothers, hooks the leg and covers Jociah as Wallace Cunningham makes the count. One… Two… Three!
TB: And now Jociah Malacai has been eliminated from this match!
KK: You know what this means Trent? It means that each team, with the exception of the Rivers Brothers, is down to a single member. I think it’s time that, on behalf of the HWA, I go on record and congratulate the new HWA Tag Team Champions… Cory and Chuck Rivers!
TB: Well, contrary to your beliefs Keith, this thing isn’t over yet.
Wallace rolls Jociah out of the ring as the Rivers Brothers lay poised and ready, stalking behind their next victim… Kevin Conner. Conner appears to be trying to shake off the effects of the Super Kick when Chuck grabs “The Hardcore Icon” and pulls him to his feet. With authority, Chuck Irish Whips Conner into the ropes as the fans, sensing what may be coming, begin to actually cheer for the two young rookies. But their cheers turn to boos when Conner and his always present ring-awareness warns him of danger and he holds firmly onto the ropes. Conner then quickly slides out of the ring as he turns and looks up at the Rivers with a smirk on his face, realizing that he had just outsmarted the young superstars.
TB: Conner seems to have dodged a bullet there.
Conner goes over to the ring announcer and snatches up a steel chair in hand. The Rivers appear to prepare for the worse but as Conner approaches the ring once more, this time a weapon in hand.
TB: Well Conner grabbing a little insurance marker here but this isn’t a No DQ match ladies and gentlemen. If Conner were to use that steel chair, he’d automatically be eliminated!
Conner looks back and forth between the two Rivers before he opens up the chair and sits down. Conner lifts his arms, as if saying “he’s all yours,” as the two Rivers smirk at each other and turn their attention to whom Conner was referring to, TRH. Hero is valiantly trying to pull himself up with the ropes as the blood is now, thanks to Conner’s ferocious punches, cascading down his face. Hero appears very weak as he is visibly struggling to just make his way back to his feet.
TB: Well Hero is in a bad way here as the Rivers brothers are poised and ready to strike. But you have to admire the courage of The Real Hero here. The blood is pouring out of him here and I’d be amazed if he isn’t concussed from that hellacious Cross-Armed Brainbuster. But that’s why this man is a true hero ladies and gentlemen; he doesn’t know the meaning of the word “quit.”
KK: Then perhaps he should look it up because, right now, he could be in the back sipping up some martinis and hanging with the honey’s. Instead, he’s out here losing pints of blood and risking the future of his career.
Hero pulls himself up as Chuck and Cory remained poised, both awaiting for TRH to turn and step into their trap. Hero leans all his weight against the ropes as he looks out at Conner sitting atop his steel throne. Conner smirks at Hero and indicates with his finger for TRH to “look behind him.” Hero, some-what expecting a trap, turns around as Chuck begins to lift the 250 lb. man into the air, setting Cory up for the finisher which would put TRH down for good. Instead, Kamikaze had come out of no-where and hit a Flying Forearm Smash to Cory Rivers, thus taking him out of commission!
TB: Kamikaze! Kamikaze!
KK: What the… where did he come from!?
TB: Kamikaze coming from out of no-where and breaking up The River Below!
Hero, seeing his chance, broke his way out of the hold and landed beside Chuck. Hero then quickly grabbed hold of the eldest River and slammed him down across his knee with a devastating Backbreaker!
TB: Backbreaker! Backbreaker! And there is still some fight left in The Real Hero!
All four men lay sprawled out in the ring as Conner looked on with a peaked interest as to what would transpire next. His answer quickly came in the form of a simultaneous nip-up by Kamikaze and The Real Hero!
TB: What agility and athleticism by those two men!
Hero and Kamikaze shared a brief stare-down before they turned their attention towards the Rivers brother. Hero pulled Chuck up to his feet and pulled his head in-between his legs as Kamikaze pulled Cory up and pulled his head into him. Again, Hero and Kamikaze locked eyes but only for a brief second as Hero flipped Chuck up onto his shoulders and then pushed off, forcing Chuck to fall face-first down to the mat with a Powerbomb into Facecrusher! At that exact same moment, Kamikaze had lifted Cory Rivers up into the air and dropped him down hard onto the back of his head/neck with a Snowplow-type move!
TB: The Real Hero’s Heroic Ending and Kamikaze’s The End and, simply put, I think that those moves pretty much sum up the result for the Rivers brothers in this match!
Hero and Kamikaze made simultaneous covers as Wallace got down and began to count out both Rivers. One… Two…
KK: No! Come on rookies! Kick out! Kick out!
Three! The fans erupt in cheers as both Rivers brothers are eliminated at the same time!
TB: They’ve done it! They’ve done it! Kamikaze and The Real Hero, against all odds, have just eliminated the Rivers brothers from this match!
KK: What kind of travesty is this!? Cory Rivers wasn’t the legal man! Shouldn’t he still be in the match!?
TB: That’s a question for Wallace Cunningham, Keith.
Conner, furious, rose up from his seat and grabbed hold of the steel chair. Sliding into the ring, Conner quickly met TRH with a vile chair shot right to the skull, sending Hero down to the mat!
TB: Oh my God! Conner just indented that chair right across the face of The Real Hero!
KK: Yes Conner! Yes! Get revenge!
Seeing this, Wallace immediately called for the bell… DQing Conner from the match!
KK: What!? He makes that call yet he blatantly ignores the fact that Cory wasn’t legal! This is a screw-job Trent!
Having heard the chair shot, Kamikaze turned to see TRH slump down to the mat. His eyes focusing on Conner as he saw the proverbial smoking gun in hand. Reacting instinctively, Kamikaze charged forward at Conner. Catching Justin out of the corner of his eye, Conner turned and swung the chair… aiming for Kamikaze’s head. But Kamikaze was ready for such an attack as he easily ducked the blow without even breaking stride. Kamikaze picked up speed as he ran completely past Conner and quickly ascended the top rope with ease. Conner spun around to see Kamikaze fly off the top rope, spinning through the air and landing atop him with a Corkscrew Moonsault!
TB: A beautifully executed Top Rope/Corkscrew Moonsault on Conner and “The Hardcore Icon” is done!
Kamikaze got back up to his feet to a chorus of cheers as his gaze floated down to Conner, and then over to the steel chair. Kneeling down, Kamikaze took the chair within hand, drawing an even bigger reaction from the crowd.
KK: Oh no! He can’t!
TB: I think it may be time for a little retribution here!
Kamikaze stalked behind Conner with the chair as Ryan Maxem emerged from the back and ran down the rampway.
TB: And now it looks as if Conner is even worse for wear as he comes Kamikaze’s partner, Ryan Maxem!
KK: Oh come on! At least Maxem was eliminated fairly in this contest, Trent! Both Conner and Cory were screwed over! He doesn’t have any business out here what-so-ever!
Maxem slides into the ring and, in a surprise turn of events, grabs Kamikaze from behind and spins him around. Maxem delivers a quick kick to Justin’s gut which forces Kamikaze to drop the chair and keel over in pain. Maxem then hooks Justin’s head and lifts him high up into the air.
TB: What the hell!? What is Maxem doing!?
Maxem spins Kamikaze around and drops him down on the back of his head/neck with a Spinning Reverse Sit-Down Brainbuster!
TB: Oh my God! Technical Difficulties! Technical Difficulties! Maxem just delivered the Technical Difficulties to his own damn partner! What the hell is going on!?
Maxem glared down at the seemingly-unconscious Kamikaze with a fire in his eyes and a twisted smile on his face. Rising to his feet, Maxem looked over at Wallace Cunningham as the ref stood bewildered, not quite sure if he should rule that a DQ or not since it was Kamikaze’s own partner that attacked him. Maxem slid out of the ring and stood by the apron as he watched The Real Hero seem to regain some sort of bearing and begin to inch his way towards Kamikaze. Alas, the last ounce of strength seeped from Hero’s body as he draped an arm over Justin.
TB: Oh no, don’t tell me that after all this… this is how it ends!
One…
TB: Come on damn it, not like this!
Two…
TB: This is a damn shame! This match can’t end like this! It can’t!
Three…! Wallace ordered the bell to be rung as The Real Hero and Dylan Wolfe became the new Tag Team Champions!
TB: Damn it! Damn it! Why Maxem!? Why!? He just cost himself and Kamikaze the Tag Team Titles!
Maxem slid back into the ring and surveyed the damage as Hero and Kamikaze lay beaten on the mat and the Rivers brothers were collecting themselves. Turning his attention to the Rivers brothers, Maxem charged forward and delivered a devastating Double Clothesline that dropped both men down to the mat. The fans booed without hesitation as Maxem picked up Cory Rivers and, with ease, tossed him over the top rope and to the cold concrete below. Maxem disposed of Chuck the same way, turning his attention to more important matters with TRH and Kamikaze.
TB: The match is over damn it! Haven’t you done enough damage Maxem!?
KK: I don’t think there’s any reasoning with him at this point Trent. It’s pretty obvious that the cold-hearted, sick, sadistic man known as Ryan Maxem is back. All I can say is… it’s about time.
TB: It’s about time!? He’s attacking these men for no apparent reason! What did the Rivers do to him!? Or Kamikaze even!? He’s his damn tag partner!
Maxem makes his way over to TRH as Conner pulls himself up. Looking over at Maxem, the two men’s eyes lock as Conner doesn’t quite know how to react. Seeing the intensity in Ryan’s eyes, Conner thinks it wiser to slip out of the ring and avoid any confrontation as that twisted smile appears on Maxem’s face once more. Maxem kneels down and pulls the bloodied Hero to his feet as he gets right in his face, talking trash. Maxem follows it up with a hard, disrespecting slap to the face as TRH slumps back down to the mat, too weak from the impending match to fight back.
TB: And now look at this, Maxem disrespecting a superstar like Real Hero! This is… this is just… I… there are no words to describe what Maxem is doing right now damn it!
Maxem looks at the blood on his hand with pride as he turns his attention to Kamikaze. Kneeling over his former friend, Ryan pulls Justin to his feet as he continues the same treatment, trash talking him and slapping the taste out of his mouth. Though Kamikaze does fall like Hero as adrenaline runs through his veins and he fires back at Maxem with a flurry of hard rights!
TB: Look at this! Look at this! After all that pain, after all that punishment… Kamikaze’s got something left in the tank!
The fans are going crazy as the blows stagger Maxem. But Maxem quickly cuts Justin’s comeback short with a stick low blow which immediately keels Kamikaze over. Maxem quickly follows up the cheap shot with a Leg Sweep, immediately followed up with a Sharpshooter!
TB: No! No! Not the Untouchable!
Kamikaze is screaming out in pain as Maxem stands firm, a face that could’ve been made of stone as no emotions are shown. Even Kamikaze’s hand hitting the mat doesn’t seem to affect Maxem as he keeps the submission hold locked in tight.
TB: Come on damn it! You’ve done enough! Kamikaze is tapping! He’s tapping damn it! Let him go!
The fans boos quickly turn to cheers when Dylan Wolfe emerges from the back and runs down the ramp. Sliding into the ring, Maxem detects movement and releases the submission hold. Wolfe stares across the ring at a man he once, and may still, consider a friend. Maxem simply stares back, his face still void of any emotion. After a long stare down, Maxem throws his hands up in the air, indicating that he didn’t want any trouble. Maxem backs off and steps through the ropes, leaving the ring as Dylan is left standing amidst the chaos, a look of confusion on his face.
Commercial Break
TB: Folks, it would take too long to explain what happened during the break, so we are just going to show you the clip.
The scene changes, and Dylan Wolfe is standing alone, in the ring, a tag team title slung over his back. The Rivers Brothers are on the arena floor, staring at DW, whom they just competed and lost to for the Tag Team Championships.
“Psycho” by D12 plays on the audio system in the arena. The fans are all expecting Canadian Primetime, but no one is expecting another man. After a long round of boos, the crowd quiets down. Primetime speaks.
CP: I have watched your match, Rivers. I told you I would. Now, you wanted to make a stable with me? Show your Canadian pride. You are in.
The Rivers Brothers show their excitement.
CP: I also brought along a little friend of mine, to join the party. Say hello to Canadian Outlaw.
TB: Did Lemke give the go-ahead for this stable?
CP: Now, our first thing to do as a group.
TB: Dylan Wolfe’s mind isn’t even on this. He’s talking with a crew guy. I don’t like the sound of this.
The four men blitz the ring, where Dylan Wolfe is unawares. The obvious beating takes place, and no one comes out to help Dylan.
CP: This is it for you, my friend.
Primetime gets a chair from Cory Rivers. He opens it and closes it on Dylan Wolfe’s arm. Outlaw, who is on the top rope, jumps down and stomps on Wolfe’s arm. The fans in the arena are stunned.
The scene changes back to the present time.
TB: I can’t believe that this happened. Something has got to give. What will happen to the Battle Royale, and the Tag Team Championship?!
KK: I think we’re going to find out now.
“Master of Puppets” by Metallica hits the audio system. Jimmy Lemke makes yet another entrance, and walks down the ring with more of a purpose. He does not acknowledge the crowd. Lemke enters the ring, and gets to the point.
JL: What happened to Dylan Wolfe was a terrible tragedy. Primetime and his goons are not going to be on my good list. They messed up my main event.
The fans boo at this, as he is caring more about his match than for Wolfe’s welfare.
JL: However, I have decided what to do about it. Dylan Wolfe’s arm is broken. Therefore, The Real Hero will have to defend the title alone against the Rivers Brothers.
KK: Yes!
TB: Damn it.
JL: Moving along, I know you will all like this one. Replacing Dylan Wolfe, in the 4 Man Battle Royale for the World Heavyweight Championship, in a Hell in a Cell, is none other than…
TB: Who?
KK: Who!?
JL: The Real Hero!
The fans explode with cheers, as their fan favorite is replaced by yet another man of the fans. Lemke lowers the microphone, and we break to commercial.
Commercial Break
TB: ‘Ok folks this is the match of the night! We have the Iron Man Match with Primetime taking on Blade!’
KK: ‘This is going to be one hell of a match!’
‘Here To Stay’ by Korn plays over the PA and the fans start to cheer. Blade emerges from the back and runs down and slides into the ring. He then climbs up to the top rope and bangs his fist against his chest and then raises his arm in the air. He gets a huge ovation.
KK:’ What a show off! Wait till Primetime beats the hell out of him!’
Then the Lights go out all around the arena and red and white lights come up from the stage. "Psycho" by D12 hits the P.A. and Primetime comes out onto the stage carrying a Canadian flag. He waves it around and as this happens Pyros go off behind him. He makes a confident walk to the ring, ignoring the fans and slowly walks up the steps and enters the ring.
TB: ‘Well here we go Primetime taking on Blade for 30 minutes.’
KK: ’30 Minutes off hell for Blade that is!’
Primetime starts off the match by throwing the flag on Blade and then pummeling him with left and rights. Primetime then grabs Blade by the head and throws him face first into the turnbuckle. When Blade bounces off the buckle Primetime goes off the ropes and clotheslines him. Blade lays on the canvas as he is hit with a leg drop and covered. 1…2..Kick Out!
TB: ‘Primetime looking for an early pinfall there but he’s not going to get it.’
KK: ‘He’s just toying with Blade.’
Primetime picks Blade up off the canvas and hits a neckbreaker followed by an elbow to the chest. But when Primetime goes to pick Blade up again he is hit with a low blow. Both men lay on the canvas. Blade is first up and dropkicks Primetime in the knee repeatedly. He then goes top rope and hits a dropkick off the turnbuckle. Primetime falls out of the ring.
