The scene opens up inside the NEC Arena, where the 13000+ fans are going crazy for the start of HWA's Sunday Night Survival. The camera pans around the audience and picks out several fan created signs including "Maxem is the Last Man I'd stand for", "Sawyer still sucks", "I blew the Breeze", "Where is Fudge?", "hwafanzone.com", "I thought this was the WWE?" and "The Chase is now back on".
TB: Welcome to Sunday Night Survival. We're coming off the back of our biggest pay per view of the year, the 2004 Last Man Standing!
KK: That’s right and what an event it was! But we've got a lot of unanswered questions after last night, hopefully we might get one or two things answered here tonight.
TB: But first we're gonna kick things off with a HUGE 6 person tag match featuring 3 teams battling to get a shot at the tag team titles!
The three teams start in the ring and it quickly turns into an all out brawl. Eventually the referee takes more control and it turns into a more regular match. Brooklyn and Sawyer are working well as a team, and so too are Kamikaze and Chase Dominek. Caleb Ramirez and Johnny Scibelli though aren't.
After a brutal beating from Kamikaze, Caleb crawls towards the turnbuckle but Scibelli hasn't noticed Caleb's out-stretched arm reaching for him. Scibelli eventually notices, pauses for a second and frowns, before stepping back from the turnbuckle and crosses his arms, shaking his head.
TB: What the hell is this all about? Scibelli won't accept the tag dammit!
Kamikaze has Caleb in a sharpshooter, and Caleb is in agony, still no interference from Scibelli. Eventually, sensing Ramirez may tap, Brooklyn runs in and breaks the hold. Caleb uses the ropes and gets back to his feet. Kamikaze charges towards him, but Caleb ducks and Kamikaze goes flying through the ropes to the outside. Caleb manages to crawl over to the opposite corner and tags Sawyer. Sawyer looks surprised as if to say, what the hell are you doing?! Never the less Sawyer gets in the ring and waits for Kamikaze to get back in the ring. The two lock up. Sawyer quickly manages to get the advantage over the now tired Kamikaze, and when the referee isn't looking he whips out a set of brass knuckles and whacks Kamikaze with them. Kamikaze predictably goes down...
Meanwhile, Caleb manages to pull himself together and slowly limps round to where Scibelli is still standing. Caleb shoves him, Scbibelli laughs and stands firm. Caleb shoves him again, but Scibelli reaches back and then clotheslines Caleb to the floor, where he catches his head on the corner of the steps, the crowd gasp in horror as Caleb could be really hurt. Scibelli then spits on the un-moving Caleb and walks to the back to the disdain of the crowd. Medics come rushing out to attend to Ramirez.
TB: What a cowardly act by Johnny Scibelli. The man never even took part in the match, but instead, cost Caleb the victory.
KK: But look, the match is still going on...
By now, it is Chase Dominek v Sawyer (Kamikaze had managed to crawl back to his corner), and Chase is getting the upper hand. Chase slaps down Sawyer to the mat. Brooklyn runs in to help, but Chase catches Brooklyn mid air, and powerbombs him on top of Sawyer as the crowd enjoy what they're seeing. Chase then tags Kamikaze who heads to the top rope. Kamikaze hits a swanton bomb onto the heaped pair of Sawyer and Brooklyn. He then grabs Sawyer to once side, covers him, 1-2-3 and the victory belongs to Kamikaze and Chase Dominek.
As the ref is raising their hands, "King Of My World" by Saliva hits and Kevin Conner stands at the top of the ramp-way, International title on one shoulder, and tag team belt on the other. He takes a mike from his back pocket.
KC: You fools, think just by winning a match will make you the tag team champs! Well dont get ahead of yourself, I just got word the Tarmen is gonna be in my corner and defend his half of the HWA Tag Team Title, so you guy bring your A game because we're not gonna back down and we sure as hell aren't gonna lose!
And Tarmen heads back to the backstage area.
TB: Wow Keith! Tarmen Hughson returns next week!
KK: We thought he was gone!
Brooklyn and Mark are in the ring. We see Grimjack being shown in a studio somewhere watching the match. Brooklyn and Mark tie up and release. Neither gaining an advantage. They go nose to nose, and Mark grins at Brooklyn, cussing him. Brooklyn doesn't like this and shoves Mark, Mark just grins, and slaps Brooklyn.
TB: Mental Mark is a certifiable lunatic.
KK: Can't aruge with that. Nobody else would dare slap Brooklyn.
Brooklyn explodes on Mark, hitting move after move on Mark, until Mark is in the corner begging off. Brooklyn allows him a short break, but Mark gives Brooklyn the low blow. Brooklyn goes down and Mark attempts the pin 1 - 2 - kickout.
TB: You won't pin Brooklyn that easily Mark.
The match continues for several minutes, the advantage swapping quickly and often between Mark and Brooklyn, some great wrestling being shown and the crowd lap it up.
(All of a sudden Conner appears at thre top of the ramp with his HWA International Championship and Tag Team belt.)
TB: Hey Keith, what is he out here for, he has no business in this match.
KK: I don't know maybe he just wanted to watch these two fight.
TB: This is the second time tonight we've seen conner and he's not even been in a match yet!
The match continues and both men try and work out what Conner is up to.
TB: This has thrown the two men in the ring a little.
KK: Shame as it was turning into a great match.
(During the match Conner slowly makes his way down to ringside and now he is leaning on the apron.)
TB: Conner at the apron right now, something is fishy going on.
(The ref leans over and reminds Conner he cant get invovled when he's knocked outside the ring by Mental Mark, ran into him on accident. Conner looks at the ref but then throws him back in the ring but he's still out.)
KK: What is Conner doing? He just through the ref back in the ring. I have no idea--
TB: Look Conner is getting in the ring.
(Brooklyn and Mark and getting up and are near each other adn then Conner hits a superkick practically taking off Marks head and he falls. Brooklyn looks at him with a question on his face. Then Conner picks up Mark and hits a ConnerDriver!)
TB: A hellacous superkick and now a ConnerDriver, I don't care who you are, you are NOT getting up from that!
KK: What is Conner's idea here?
TB: Look Brooklyn covers Mark and Conner is already half way up the ramp. The ref comes to life! He begins to count
(One...... Two...... Three!)
KK: Grimjack is back, Grimjack is back!
TB: Give Conner the assist, and mark is still laying in the ring, but what does Conner want Grimjack back for?
TB: My God, Kamikaze could actually KILL Sawyer here. This is more than revenge.
KK: Well we knew there was bad blood between these two. Now there's real blood. A lot of it too.
TB: Sawyer was clearly due some payback after using the knucks in the match, but hell, this is too much.
Eventually Brooklyn comes running down the coridoor, fresh from his match with Mental Mark, and seeing what is happening he goes straight for Kamikaze, he takes him down with a Lou Thesz press, and hits him with rights and lefts to the face and nose. Kamikaze tries to fight him off but to no avail. Brooklyn is pissed at Kamikaze for taking out Sawyer. Eventually security breaks up the fight and Ron Royalty appears at the scene to huge cheers.
RR: You two wanna go at each other so bad huh? Well how about next week, you two, in a grudge match. What do you say?
Both men agree, before being escorted back to their relative locker rooms. Royalty looks pleased at his work and heads out to the ring.
RR: Good evening BIRMINGHAM!
Huge cheer!
RR: Now, I know you guys, and those watching on TV are wanting to know about David Jackson, is he alive, is he dead? Well, he's in critical condition at the moment, we're not sure if he is going to make it. Now, I have nothing but hatred for Jackson, but I Can assure you all, that I had nothing to do with the shooting. I will, however, be working with the police in trying to solve this horrific crime. When it comes down to it, nobody deserves to be shot. Not even my worst enemy.
RR: Now, as we've all just seen, Grimjack is back. He didn't stay gone for a long time did he. Well, as he got his ass handed to him at Last Man Standing by myself, I am hoping he's going to shut the hell up and let me run this place in peace now. One thing is for sure, he is NOT, I repeat NOT in any position of power within this federation. Grimjack is back, yes, but as a wrestler, not in power. that was one thing I insisted upon in the Mark v Brooklyn match contract. Another match next week folks, and this one is a biggie. Following his win at Last Man Standing, Ryan Maxem earned his title shot at the World Championship. That match isn't going to happen at the next Pay Per View (which i will announce more on next week), instead the match is going to happen NEXT WEEK! THATS RIGHT: MAXEM v SYREN FOR THE WORLD TITLE NEXT WEEK!!!!!! Now, I am not one of those guys who hogs the spotlight, so, I bid you farewell, enjoy the rest of the show!
Ron walks to the back to a collosal cheer and the show goes on.
The two men get to the ring, and get prepared for the match in oppsite corners. Referee Cunningham calls for the bell and we get underway. Both men go straight for it and they grapple for position.
TB: Great to see these two HWA great's back in action.
KK: Yes. The great Chase Dominek will reign supreme here.
TB: Erm, ya think? What about Tristan?
KK: *Yawn* nah, too boring!
TB: Well thanks for that in-depth analysis Keith!
TB: Pleasure.
Chase gets the advantage and he quickly uses it be sending Tristan head first into the solid steel surrounding the ring. Tristan's head bounces of the steel and he staggers backwards, his nose bloodied by the impact. He is still staggering around when Chase connects with a vicious powerbomb. Chase attempts the cover. 1-2 kickout!
KK: How the hell?
TB: Perhaps Tristan has more in the tank than you give him credit for Keith!
Tristan lands an elbow in Chase's mid-section which doubles Chase over. Tristan hits a knee lift which smacks Chase in the mouth. Chase goes down and Tristan starts to climb the cage. He gets to the top, and take a look over his shoulder. Chase is starting to get back up. Tristan turns, and jumps off the top of the cage and hits Chase with a missile dropkick which prompts a huge HOLY SHIT chant from the HWA faithful.
TB: OH MY GOD! DID YOU SEE THAT?!
KK: What a move!
TB: Is he boring NOW Keith?!
KK: I guess I could change my mind, but only slightly.
TB: Weirdo....
Tristan goes for the cover and gets it. 1--2---3! Tristan wins and the fans erupt!
TB: Wait a second, here is Breeze, running down to the ring.
KK: Breeze is certainly no friend of Tristan's...
TB: He's walking right up to Tristan...
KK: This could explode any minute!
TB: Breeze offers his hand to Tristan - what the hell?
Tristan looks at this and starts to walk away. Breeze catches up with Tristan and turns him around. He offers the hand again. Tristan turns as if to walk away, but turns last minute and shakes Tristan's hand. Breeze takes Tristans arm and raises it high in the air, much to the crowd's approval.
KK: What the hell are we seeing here?!
TB: I don't know but I like this. HWA's top athletes on the same page? That can only be a good thing!
Dylan runs out to the ring, eager to get this match out of the way, knowing he has a huge tag match happening tonight. He bounces off the ropes a couple of times, warming up
Carlos Cross's music plays but he never appears. They try again, still no Cross. Dylan walks over to the referee and says something in his ear. The referee starts a count. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Carlos Cross is counted out and Dylan celebrates the win as if he has just scored the winning touchdown at the Superbowl! He falls to his knees and pretends to cry!
TB: What a pathetic display by Wolfe, getting the referee to count out cross and then celebrating like this. Pathetic.
KK: He has EVERY right to do this. Cross is clearly a coward.
TB: Wait a second, we're heading backstage. I hear Kevin Conner has a mike.
Kevin Conner: Hey, wait up. Before I go out there and risk my life on the line like i do every night, I just want everyone of you to know why I help Brooklyn win that match earlair tonight. No its not because I felt sorry for Brooklyn or that I felt sorry Grimjack. I feel sorry for the HWA! This federation is being over run by the Militia, and making this place no fun! That can't happen! So I went out there to help the HWA and get Grimjack back so we can have more sane people in the HWA to stop this madness! I would say its nothing personal, but you're messing with my life and my career. So it is! I love this place and its not gonna go down to handful of people who think they are the shit! Like i said earliar a revolution is going to take place! And you all are going ot be here to witness it! Now Syren, our match is up next and to be dead honest with you, I am out to hurt you! But I am not out there to take you out! I do wish you the best of luck, because I don't want you out, you're the HWA World Heavyweight Champion! I know we dont' see eye to eye but we got one thing is common that is gonna give us a bond. We aren't one of them! Syren, I am looking for a win, but may the best person win, because Syren, you've been screwed enough, but I wont screw ya, that's not my job i;m married. I want you to walk down to ring and put on the match of your life. Nothing is on line, lets just go out there and have fun! The Revolution is coming because THAT'S JUST THE WAY I AM!
The two arrive in the ring. Syren gets the far louder cheers. The crowd don't really know how to respon to Conner, following his actions which caused Grimjack to be reinstated earlier. They meet in the middle and Conner offers Syren a handshake. She looks at his hand in puzzlement. She looks to the crowd and shrugs. They cheer, and so she looks back at Conner's hand and then shakes it to a big cheer. Conner smiles and the two go to their corners and then the bell rings. They start to wrestle.
TB: Conner has certainly been active here tonight.
KK: He has indeed. Conner is back to his old self.
Several minutes of good wrestling follows. Conner and Syren end up on the outside of the ring. Syren grabs a steel chair and goes to hit Conner with it, but he grabs hit before she can. He hold it aloft himself, but can't bring himself to hit Syren with it, so she drop kicks the chair, still in his hands, right into his face.
TB: My God, that could knock Conner clean out! There was some pressure there!
Capitalising on this, Syren rolls Conner into the ring, where he shows no sign of consciousness. Syren covers Conner 1-2-3.
TB: Syren with the win, but you have to wonder if it was more down to Conner not wanting to use the chair on Syren.
KK: I thing Conner would've won if it hadn't have been for that momentary weakness.
TB: Wait, I'm getting some updates from the back. Caleb Ramirez has recovered from his head injury and will be ok. He says he wants to wrestle next week. However, Dan Sawyer has been taken to a local medical facility following the dastardly attack from Kamikaze. He is still unconscious apparently. More on that as we get it.
