HOW IT ALL CONNECTS

When Grimjack first bursted onto the scene in the HWA he pissed everyone off and proclaimed himself to be on a mission from "Nostradamus" to take over the world, beginning with the HWA. He had blue hair at first. He made early enemies with a man known as Zack Tyler. Grimjack told everyone that he met that the world would end on February 10, 2001. He said that Nostradamus had told him so. This date just so happened to coincide with a match against Tyler. Grimjack lost the match and when the world did not end it made him question things. The current champion of the HWA quit and admitted he did it because he was afraid of Grimjack. Grimjack was put into a match with Da Fudgsta, the winner of which would face the winner of TCO and Blade for the vacant HWA world title. Grimjack's psychiatrist announced on live telivision that Grimjack suffered from a myriad of psychological problems including schitzophrenia which is seeing things and hearing voices. It was theorized that Grimjack was imagining "Nostradamus" talking to him. Grimjack was captured and put into a mental hospital in Syracuse NY. However, he soon escaped. Later, Grimjack appeared at an HWA house show where he began speaking to the crowd about his problems and how he believed he wasn't crazy and Nostradamus was real. Workers from the mental hospital appeared in the arena, about twenty of them, they rushed the ring at Grimjack but Grimjack destroyed them all and left with broken bodies in his wake.

Grimjack defeated Da Fudgsta with ease but then HWA president Neil made a number one contenders match between Grimjack, Da Fudgsta, Blade and TCO, but on the day of the event Vice President Anderson took Grimjack out of the match and made him the referee of it. Grimjack called it clean and TCO won. But after the match Grimjack attacked TCO. The next week Grimjack took on a rookie named Judge and Neil made it for Grimjack's spot in a World title match at the pay per view, which is something Neil constantly did. Judge was able to upset Grimjack and win. But luckily Grimjack's friend the vice president Anderson ensured that he would remain in the match, so now it became Grimjack vs Judge vs TCO. Before the match Grimjack was talking mysteriously about some alliance he had planned.

It turned out he had an alliance with Judge as they both double teamed TCO for the whole match and Judge won the world title, impressive for a rookie. They formed a team named the Legacy Department. The next week the tag team of Grimjack and Judge took on Michael Diamond and Danny Starr, they dominated them but lost due to cheating by Starr. But it was called at the time the greatest match in HWA history. Later Grimjack started going really insane, even drinking out of a toilet until Judge found him at his apartment and stopped him. Grimjack thought he was on a divine mission.

Next the Legacy Department started a long feud with the Void, a group led by Zack Tyler, Grim's old enemy. There was a tag match on Survival of Grimjack and Judge vs Tyler and Matt Hydrox, another member of the Void. Here Grimjack outsmarted Tyler as Hydrox turned on the Void and joined the Legacy Department. Grimjack also humiliated Tyler by interfering in his match with a jobber and making him lose.

At this time Grimjack was involved in a gang incident in New York City. His former attorney turned drug dealer was killed, along with a member of a street gang. Cocaine was involved as well. Grimjack was also involved with buying a special smokable herb from Brazil at this time.

Grimjack starts to distrust Matt Hydrox and wants him out of the Legacy Department, Judge disagrees. This was the beginning of some tension between them.

As it turned out, after his first match with Zack Tyler when the world didn't end, this caused Grimjack to spiral into insanity because everything he believed to be true was shown not to be, there was no Nostradamus and he was really insane, but he couldn't cope with this. This explains all of the insane things he had been doing. Why he killed his attorney, why he turned to drugs to help him cope, why he stuck his head in Judge's toilet, and why he had smoked weed from a cliff overlooking a funeral for his attorney.

Grimjack took on Tyler at the pay per view Seven Deadly Sins and destroyed him, crushing his body in a garbage truck. He also won the International title then, winning his first belt. He was 19 at the time.

At this time Grimjack met a female bartender named Sandy and started dating her. Also around this time the Legacy Department broke up as Matt got injured in a match and Judge left the HWA after losing the world title. Grimjack met a new wrestler named Cloud and with him started a group named the Upstarts. Grimjack lost the International title to Matt's brother Steven Hydrox. Judge showed back up and formed a stable named Red Blood's Karnage, a name that Grimjack took every opportunity to make fun of. Grimjack quit the Upstarts over a petty argument with Cloud. Grimjack met a girl named Deb working at a cofee shop and became infatuated with her. He broke up with Sandy over the phone and then went to ask Deb out, but Deb was uninterested in him as she believed he was crazy.

Fudge, who used to be a fat jobber named Da Fudgsta but had lost the weight and gotten very good, was the current World Champion and Grimjack was fresh off a loss to the newcomer Sett at the pay per view Redemption. It was later revealed that Grimjack was on crack at the time. Grimjack is sitting in a bar one night drowning his sorrows when a man attacks him with a baseball bat beating him to an inch of his life. Grimjack ripped cartilage in his elbow. It was Zack Tyler. After being crushed in the garbage truck, Zack broke his collar bone and the months of rehab drew him insane thinking of nothing but revenge on Grimjack. He challenged him to a triple cage match with weapons and a cattle prod at the top. They fought this match at the first Last Man Standing pay per view. After an epic match Tyler ended up throwing Grimjack off the top of the cage. Grimjack didn't move after landing and was rushed to the hospital. Apparently he had broken both arms and both legs. Grimjack wasn't heard from again for a month.

Grimjack was bed ridden in his Manhattan apartment. He had a personal nurse taking care of him as he was apparently paralyzed from the match with Tyler. One day his friend Judge came to visit him and he begged Judge to pull the plug, effectively ending his misery. After a long argument Judge finally agrees to do it and Grimjack is seizing as Judge walks out with tears in his eyes. Grimjack appears dead despite the frantic nurses efforts. She calls 911. Almost a minute passes after he has flatlined when it starts beeping again. Grimjack shocks the nurse by not only being alive but getting out of the bed and apparently being perfectly healthy again. Grimjack alledges he made a deal with the devil. Is this true or did he some how scheme the whole thing to get back at Judge in some way? It's not been revealed.

Grimjack returns to the HWA to find it infested with the "EWFOS" a group run by Danny Starr and Judge with members from theEWF (a different fed) and FOS (a strong HWA stable). The only strong HWA members are Grimjack and a rookie who joined while Grimjack was gone, Kevin Conner. Conner had a reputation for being hardcore and when they first met Grimjack told him he was about as hardcore as Darth Vader in a polo, khakis and chuck taylors. Grimjack continued to be put into matches against EWFOS members, and he beat them all, but it seemed like there were too many members and he would never make a dent in the hide of this huge force. Then 9/11 happened.

Grimjack was asleep in his Manhattan apartment when the first plane hit. He went down to the streets below and tried to help people who were injured. He rescued a little girl from being who was bleeding but the force of the second tower collapsing caused him to drop her. She later dies in his arms. This triggers Grimjack to go mad again and Nostradamus appears to him, taking credit for the terrorism. Grimjack at first tries to disbelieve this but then starts to believe it was all real and this was the world ending like Nostradamus predicted. (I made that rp to help deal with emotions and stuff.)

After this the HWA closes for a time. Later it returns, merged with another fed, the SFXW. Grimjack thinks about returning after being kicked out of his apartment due to unpaid bills. He meets his old friend Judge for drinks and Judge asks him how he survived and Grim says he made a deal with the devil, who is Nostradamus. And now he feels guilty after 9/11. Grimjack does return to the HWA at a pay perview Trial and destroys Morgoth. Here he debuts a new move, called the Exodus. It's the first time he wins a match by pinfall, instead of making his poonent tap out with the six second magic. Later there is a second Last Man Standing tournament in which Grimjack loses to Michael Diamond in the first round.

Conner becomes World champion and beats Grimjack in a hardcore match that goes on for over an hour. It's later revealed that Grimjack had to take a dump for the entire match but it wouldn't end. Grimjack gets a rematch against Conner for the world title and he wins. Grimjack is HWA world champion for the first time, unfortunately the HWA folds and closes a day later.

The HWA had been partly merged with the SFXW and since the HWA closed many wrestlers joined the SFXW, including Grimjack. He takes the HWA title and dishonors it by putting his weed on it while he sits and smokes in his apartment. Grimjack's first match in the SFXW is against Buff Daddy Dollars, ironically the person he fought in his first HWA match. Zack Tyler had come to hate the HWA and refused to return to it, but he shows up in the SFXW. Judge tells Grimjack that he's back but tells him he should let sleeping dogs lie. But Grimjack challenges Zack Tyler to one last match for the HWA world title, even though the HWA was closed. It was always Tyler's goal in life to become Grand Slam champion, having held every title at least once. The only belt he had not held was the world title. Grimjack taunts Tyler by threatening to throw the belt in a dumpster if he dosn't accept the challenge. Tyler couldn't resist taking Grimjack up on his offer.

Grimjack gets endicted for tax fraud. He had thought his attorney handled his finances, but he forgot that he had killed him over drugs.

Before Grimjack is to fight Tyler, he actually wins the SFXW world title from Angelus. So at this point he holds both the HWA and SFXW world titles, an unprecedented feat.

At this point the HWA reopens. But Grimjack is having so much success in the SFXW he decides to stay. He even reforms the Legacy Department with Judge and Angelus. But then Judge returns to the HWA. The management of the SFXW make a four corners match of Grimjack vs. Tyler vs two other SFXW wrestlers, and neither Tyler nor Grimjack win and the HWA and SFXW titles are both lost. He tries a new mime gimmick but it's rejected by SFXW managgement. Grimjack goes out on a blind date but after talking to him she thinks he's weird, and after getting up to go to the restaurants bathroom she never returns. At this point Grimjack is down in the dumps. His last match in the SFXW is a handicap match against the Huntress and Kent Blade, two of the SFXW's top stars. It seems like he was being punished for being from the HWA and he even admits he's corned before the match. Grimjack quits the SFXW in disgrace and lacks purpose in life after this.

A new chapter in Grimjack's madness begins when he meets a talking prairie dog while jogging one day. The prairie dog's name is Neil, which is also the name of the HWA's owner. Neil talks to Grimjack often and is a calming influence as compared to Nostradamus.

Grimjack returns to the HWA and forms a stable with Conner named the SAAC (Swiss Army Apple Company, a name which seems to reflect his apparent return to complete madness). They feuded with a group called the Enterprise which included Danny Starr, Fudge, Ryan Maxem, Michael Diamond, Jason Craven, Anderson and Cassandra Starr. Grimjack often joked about how outclassed they were. Neil the priairie dog encourages Grimjack to turn on Conner which he does, attacking him on a Survival. But Grimjack later changes his mind and apologizes to Conner reforming the SAAC, perhaps proving that he can act against the demons in his head. Neil wanted Grimjack to join the Enterprise with Maxem.

Grimjack hasn't seen Neil the prairie dog or Nostradamus for many months when one day he is walking to the arena for a match with Jason Craven when a bomb goes off in the arena knocking him through the air. He sees Neil and Nostradamus standing above him grinning. (It was never truly revealed who set the bomb, there was a long investigation later and it may have been Danny Starr.)

In a bold power play a few weeks later, Grimjack actually becomes president of the HWA. His run as president is one of unprofessionalism and lack of care. It was never made clear why Neil, owner of the HWA, would turn to someone like Grimjack to run things. None the less, things were successful, high points including Micheal Diamond's near year long run as world champion and a world tour. A mysterious man in a black mask had once arrived and stolen the world title belt from Ryan Maxem. Grimjack appears to be taking orders from Nostradamus again, and believes running the HWA is a major step towards world domination.

The HWA holds a pay per view called Jam in Mexico City, it's the largest gathering for a sport in history, over 150 thousand people are in attendence. The crowd is unruly the entire night and a riot erupts at the end when Grimjack interferes in a match between Ryan Maxem and the world champion Michael Diamond. The riot cannot be contained and Grimjack is carried away in the confusion and not heard from for a month. In actuality, he had been kidnapped by people working for Chris Million and Randy Giles, two men who had some position of power in the HWA, and may or may not have had a connection to Danny Starr. They interrogated Grimjack concerning files he had taken from HWA headquarters in London regarding Starr (possibly having to do with the HWA bomb blast). They torture him for hours until Grimjack manages to escape while Giles and Million are out and he kills their lackeys. Giles and Million arrive in time to see him escaping through a window and they shoot wounding him but he escapes. He hides in a nearby church. He meets a nun and a priest there and ends up living there for a month recuperating. He actually starts to fall in love with the nun, which eats away at his heart.

One day a large man in a black mask, the same who stole the world title from Maxem, shows up while Grimjack is in the garden behind the church. The man is apparently there to take Grimjack back, and is working for Million and Giles. But suddenly the masked man is shot twice in the back. The shots came from a man named David Jackson, who says he was sent by Neil.

While Grimjack was away from the HWA, Chris Million had taken over and Neil was apparently arrested. Grimjack returns to the HWA during a pay per view, Crash and Burn, where Judge was taking on Diamond for the HWA title. Seeing Grimjack back from the dead again frazzled Judge and he went on to lose. Grimjack began trying to connect with his old friends, Anderson, Conner and Maxem to reform the Legacy Department. Grimjack soon finds out that there are no records of Neil being arrested, it appears that was a hoax and he was kidnapped. Grimjack goes back to London to find the files Giles and Million were talking about in Mexico, because he never really saw them. But he finds they are gone. Someone had been there and taken them. He calls David Jackson up because he had access to the files and asks him about it and Jackson gets defensive and hangs up.

Grimjack teams up with Conner to find Neil. They trace his whereabouts to Los Angeles using Conner's underground informants where he is being held against his will by men working for Giles and Million. They rescue him.

Grimjack, returns to being HWA president along with co-president David Jackson. He fights Morgoth in a match in which Morgoth staples his nose. Morgoth is part of a stable named the Aftermath which includes TCO, Sett and Anubis. They were trying to take power in the HWA. Grimjack fights TCO for the right to be president at the pay per view Infinity Minus One and loses. He announces he will fight Morgoth one on one at the next pay per view and the Aftermath will fight the Legacy Department in a stable match to end the feud. He says he will retire after this. Morgoth beats him in the one on one match and then Grimjack's hastily put together Legacy Department squad gets destroyed until Grimjack is the only one left against TCO and Morgoth. He fights valianty untill TCO gives him his finisher the Aftermath on a steel chair. After the match Grimjack shakes hands with TCO and Morgoth and Grimjack retires as the crowd is chanting his name.

Grimjack was gone all summer until he returned that fall. He took over HWA again as president. But then Neil fired him as president and made David Jackson president. Jackson tried to fire Grimjack but Judge came back as commisioner and protected Grimjack's job. They then reformed the Legacy Department.

Then it appeared as if a masked man working for Jackson (who was really Ryan Maxem) blew up the wrestling ring at Rebirth II when Grimjack was in it. Grimjack appeared dead but he reappeared a month later at Breakdown. This time he was evil and aligned with Maxem and the Militia. Apparently he had escaped through a trap door and "ran through a hall of mirrors" to escape. Grimjack challenged Ron Royalty (Neil) to a match at Last Man Standing III for ownership of the HWA, if Grimjack wins he has to retire.

Grimjack has the most convoluted history of anyone in the HWA.
