Trent Brown: Welcome to Saturday Survival and there you see it folks, the International Championship! Later tonight, Sett and "Your Hero" Michael Diamond will face for that very title in what should be another historic battle between these two fierce competitors.
Keith Kincaid: Speaking of Michael Diamond, look on the MegaTron!
Turning their attention to the MegaTron, we see Michael Diamond walking down the halls of the arena. As he turns the corner, he comes upon a door with a plaque that bears the words "Sett." The fans scream at the sight of this as Michael Diamond takes a deep breath and walks into uncertain hell. The camera follows him in as we see Sett fully dressed in his wrestling attire, obviously ready to go for his upcoming LMS match with Cassandra Starr. Sett takes a look at Michael then glances over at the door, expecting the FOS to be accompanying him. Seeing none of them step forward, Sett turns his attention back to Michael Diamond as the two stare long and hard at each other. After a moment, Sett finally speaks up.
Sett: What do you want Diamond?
Michael Diamond: Hmm let me think, oh, I don't know maybe your International Championship!
Michael smirked at Sett who regarded him with an evil glare.
Sett: Well, if you want it so bad then you're just going to have to take it.
Michael Diamond: Oh, don't worry, I'll take it alright. But that's not why I'm here. See, we have a history you and me. We go way back, all the way to the early days of the HWA. Sometimes you kicked my ass sometimes I kicked yours. But no matter who won, we would always put on one hell of a show!
The fans roared at this comment, some remembering past wars these two men had fought with one another.
Michael Diamond: Now, I know you're going to do everything in your power to remain the International Champion. And you know that I'm going to do everything in my power to beat you and become the new International Champion. But what I want to know is… will you have the integrity to raise my hand after I beat you?
Sett: If you beat me, you want me to raise your hand? After everything that you and the FOS has put me through you have the audacity to ask me such a question? Who the hell do you think you are!?
Michael Diamond: I'm "Your Hero" Sett… whether you like it or not! And yeah, the FOS has put you through hell. But don't forget, you've put us through hell on occasions as well. But this isn't about the FOS Sett, this is about you and me! This is about two of the best superstars the HWA has ever seen competing in a match that will, no doubt, go down in the history books. If nothing else Sett, you've earned my respect. And yeah, if you happen to, somehow, beat me tonight… I'll stay true to my promise and I'll raise your hand in victory. But I want to know if you're man enough to do the same for me.
Sett: Tell you what, you want my respect? Then tonight, you bring everything you got and we'll see just who has earned the right to be called the International Champion.
Nodding his head, Michael turned and walked out of Sett's locker room as Sett stood there, staring after "Your Hero" as the MegaTron turned back to ringside.
This match is the closest the HWA has seen in quite some time. Both men give it their all for the full 30 minute time limit but there has been no pinfall or submission. The referee asks both men if they want an extra 5 minutes. To the crowd's delight both men agree. The clock ticks down and with only 4 seconds left, Anderson gets the victory after Conner mistimes his top-rope 'one of a kind' following the turnbuckle actually snapping in two. Conner is stretchered out after the match but the result stands.
Winner:Anderson
This match is all cass starr as she gets what is probably her biggest win to date. After the match Sett acknowledges the loss, but insists he is saving himself until the bigger of his two matches tonight, against Cass's former boyfriend: Michael Diamond.
Winner: Cass Starr
After an ad break the HWAtron lights up with fog and the words "they're coming" are written across it. The tron stays this way but the arena lights go out for 30 seconds before flickering back into life.
Neither guy RP'd but i'm putting this match up again for next week in the hope that someone RPs - hint hint.
Winner: No contest
Close-ish match which goes either way until Kittie gets the pinfall victory.
After the match a masked man comes down to the ring and beats down on Kittie. He then proceeds to shake infected's hand.
Winner: Kittie
Trent Brown: Well there ya see it folks. The International Championship belt is being lowered and so is the steel cage that will seal two of the best competitors the HWA has to offer inside that very ring.
Keith Kincaid: But first, I have word that Erin Wallace is backstage with Michael Diamond.
The scene switches to backstage as we see Erin Wallace standing beside Michael Diamond who is now dressed in his wrestling attire and is pumped up and ready to go for this match.
Erin Wallace: Thanks Trent and Keith. Now Michael, we are just moments away from your Diamond Ring match in which you will take on Sett for his International Championship. Now, many people consider you the favorite in this match considering all that Sett has gone through. From one of the most violent matches ever witnessed at Obliteration, to his earlier match tonight. Not only that, but also this match is considered to be your specialty. I'm curious to get your thoughts on this.
Michael Diamond: Well Erin, it's simple. I am the favorite in this match. But don't go making up excuses for Sett now Erin. If and when he loses to me, it will be because I was the better man, not because Sett was fatigued from his earlier match with Cassandra. Or because of the violent battle he had with Danny Starr a couple weeks ago. I have had my own trials as well. After all, I came back early from a broken leg and managed to compete at Obliteration, and in a ladder match none-the-less. Now, you remember a few weeks back when you were interviewing me on Breakdown, the pre-Obliteration show? I said that I was not going to wait around for an opportunity to present itself. I said that I was going to create opportunities and take what I wanted. Well, tonight is my opportunity to win some HWA gold and I WANT that International Championship. And I promise you Erin, once the steel cage is lifted and the match is over… that title belt will be around MY waist and Sett will be lifting MY hand in victory.
Having said that, Michael Diamond stormed out of sight as we switch back to ringside to hear "The Way" by Amorphis hit the loud speakers. Like energy had just been restored to their legs, the fans got up out of their seats and cheered for the International Champion as he made his way down the ring.
Ring Announcer: Making his way down to the ring at this time, standing at 6'11" and weighing in at 312 pounds. He is the International Champion… SETT!
The fans cheered again as Sett made his way up the steel steps and climbed into the ring. He raised his two arms high into the air as the fans cheered once more. Sett nervously began to pace around the ring as his music cut off. "Points of Authority (Reannimation Remix)" by Linkin Park hit the loud speakers as Michael Diamond emerged from backstage to a warm welcome of boos. Standing at the top of the rampway, Michael lifted his arms high into the air, setting off a chain reaction of blue fireworks and pyros to his left and right. The spectacle ceased as Michael made his way down to the ring.
Ring Announcer: Making his way down to the ring, standing at 6'1" and weighing in at 225 pounds… Michael Diamond!
Climbing up the steps, he entered the ring as he heard the cage door close behind him… locking him inside with Sett. There was no need for a ref inside the cage, for he could merely watch from outside to see who grabbed a hold of the title belt. Two ladders were propped up opposite one another on the turnbuckles. As Michael paced around the ring, keeping his distance from Sett, his music ceased. Both men exchanged glances at one another and then up at the title belt for which they battled.
Trent Brown: A lot is on the line for these two men.
Keith Kincaid: No question about that Trent, this should be one hell of a match.
Hearing the bell ring, the two decided to get down to action. Immediately, they got in each others faces. Though Michael lacked the size that Sett possessed, he still stood his ground, staring up at the tall man. Growing tired of their stare down, Sett pie-faced Michael to the ground, drawing cheers and jeers from the crowd. Michael rolled back up to his feet and charged Sett, looking for a hard right but Sett blocked it and nailed a right of his own. Sett continued to pummel Michael with rights until Michael was up against the ropes. Grabbing a hold of Michael's arm, Sett whipped him towards the opposite ropes. Rebounding off of them, Michael walked right into a Big Boot from Sett, drawing more cheers from the crowd.
Trent Brown: And this one getting started in a hurry and Sett is off the mark with a couple of blows to Michael followed up by that devastating Big Boot.
Sett pulled Michael up to his feet but Michael surprised Sett, breaking away from his hold and grabbing a hold of Sett's shoulders. Michael jumped up into the air and dropped down to the mat, hitting a Jaw Jacker on Sett and sending the big man stumbling backwards.
Trent Brown: Michael Diamond playing possum and luring Sett into a false sense of security there.
Michael made it back up to his feet and pulled Sett's feet out from underneath him. Spreading Sett's legs apart, Michael leaped into the air and dropped two legs across the lower extremities of Sett, causing the crowd to boo Michael Diamond.
Keith Kincaid: Crowd didn't seem to like that too much.
Trent Brown: And right they shouldn't, that was a blatant low blow!
Sett rolled around the mat in pain as Michael grabbed a hold of one of the nearby ladders. Setting it up underneath the belt, Michael quickly began to ascend towards the top. Fighting the pain, Sett forced himself to his feet and managed to grab a hold of Michael's leg. Michael tried kicking away Sett but the big man would not move. Using his strength, Sett yanked Michael from the ladder! Michael fell down hard onto the mat and rolled around, clutching his ribs as he gasped for air. Sett fell down to the mat, still ailing from the low blow earlier.
Trent Brown: I think Michael was looking to end this one early but Sett has other plans in mind.
Both men began to slowly get back to their feet as Michael made it to his feet first. Seeing Sett struggling, Michael rushed towards him and hit him with a fury of hard rights, sending the big man reeling back against the ropes. Grabbing a hold of Sett's arm, he attempted to whip him towards the opposite ropes but Sett stood still, his other hand having a firm grip on the ropes he now stood by. Michael attempted again but he was not strong enough to budge the big man from his spot. Sett pulled Michael back towards him and lifted him into the air and drove his head into the steel cage with a Flapjack-type move. Michael stumbled away from the cage, a bit dizzy as Sett stood in waiting. Turning into Sett, the big man wrapped his hand around Michael's throat and lifted him into the air and sent him crashing down to the mat with The Endgame!
Trent Brown: The Endgame! The Endgame! Sett has just hit The Endgame on Michael Diamond and this one could be over right here right now!
Turning away from Michael Diamond, Sett looked over to see that the ladder Michael had set up earlier still stood firmly underneath the title belt. Sett began to ascend the ladder towards his championship belt as the crowd edged him on.
Trent Brown: And this should do it folks! Sett looks to have retained his International Championship in a quick…
Keith Kincaid: Not so fast Trent, look! Michael Diamond is up!
Trent Brown: What!? That's impossible!
Sure enough, Michael Diamond had managed to make it to his feet, though he didn't seem to know quite where he was. Stumbling around the ring, he finally stumbled into the ladder where Sett was trying to reach the title belt. Feeling the ladder shake beneath him, Sett looked down to see Michael Diamond looking up at him. As if remembering where he was and what was going on, Michael Diamond began to ascend the ladder with haste. Making it to the top, the two men began to battle it out but it was apparent that Sett's strength advantage was coming into play here. After a couple shots to the head, Sett pie-faced Michael off the ladder as he fell all the way down to the mat, landing hard on his back. Thinking Michael was done for, Sett began to go after the title again. Much to the surprise of the crowd, Michael managed to kip right back up to his feet. Knowing that he couldn't over power Sett, Michael leapt into the air and connected on a Dropkick to the ladder, sending the ladder tilting over. Feeling the ladder give underneath him, Sett turned to jump off but he was too late. His footing gave away and he came crashing down onto the top rope, his neck snapping back from the impact. Sett lay motionless on the mat as many fans believed him to be dead after seeing his neck snap back like that.
Trent Brown: Oh man, this doesn't look good. I think Sett is hurt.
Keith Kincaid: Yeah, did you see how far his neck snapped back!? He could have very well broken it there!
Shaking the cobwebs lose, Michael stumbled over to Sett and pulled him to his feet. Michael whipped Sett towards the ropes. Bouncing off of them, Sett ran right into a picture perfect Dropkick from Michael, a move that provided more whiplash to Sett's neck!
Keith Kincaid: Ouch! That had to hurt!
Pulling Sett up again, Michael whipped him into the ropes once more. Bouncing off of them, Sett stumbled into a Spinning Wheel Kick from Diamond!
Trent Brown: Oh come on now, Michael is clearly looking to injure Sett's neck further!
Keith Kincaid: Hey, you heard Sett earlier Trent… he told Michael to bring everything he's got and that's exactly what Michael is doing!
The crowd began to chant Sett's name, trying to get him back into this match as it was now apparent that Michael Diamond had begun to take over. Pulling Sett to his feet, Michael attempted to whip Sett into the ropes but, this time, Sett stood fast. Michael attempted it again but he may have tried pulling a tree from its roots. Pulling Michael back towards him, Sett connected with a Short-Arm Clothesline to Diamond, getting a huge pop out of the crowd!
Trent Brown: And now Sett fighting back!
Sett pulled Michael to his feet and whipped him into the ropes. Bouncing back towards Sett, the big man attempted a Big Boot but Michael ducked underneath it and kept running. Bouncing off the opposite ropes, Michael rebounded towards Sett with velocity. Michael dove at Sett, looking for a Spear, but Sett sidestepped the blow and managed to provide further velocity to Michael by grabbing his tights and thrusting him further into the steel cage! A sickening thud was heard as Michael stumbled backwards before falling down to the mat, his head busted open.
Trent Brown: I think Michael might be knocked out from that move!
Sett raised his arm high into the air, signaling for The Journey!
Trent Brown: Uh oh, things don't look too good for Michael Diamond now!
Keith Kincaid: You aren't kidding, if Sett hits this then it has to be over!
Lifting Michael to his feet, Sett shoved his bloodied head in between his legs. Preparing to flip Michael up, Michael managed to counter by pulling Sett's legs out from underneath him. Then, falling backwards, Michael propelled Sett face-first into the steel cage with a Catapult!
Trent Brown: A desperation counter there by Michael Diamond!
Sett stumbled away from the cage and right into Diamond who flipped the 312 pound man over his head with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex!
Trent Brown: What a move by Michael Diamond there, picture-perfect Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Sett!
Michael stalked behind Sett as Sett slowly began to get to his feet. Stumbling around, Sett turned right into Michael who wrapped his arms around the big man and hit another Belly-to-Belly Suplex on him, this time dropping Sett right onto the back of his neck!
Trent Brown: Oh man, Michael is sure focusing in on that neck!
Sett rolled around the mat in pain as he grabbed at his neck. This allowed Michael to play to the crowd a bit but he didn't seem to get the type of response he was expecting for he quickly ceased and went back to work on Sett. Pulling Sett up, Michael attempted to do another Belly-to-Belly Suplex but Sett refused to let himself be lifted off the mat. Michael attempted again but again, no success. Sett surprised everyone by then falling onto his back and flipping Michael over him with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex of his own!
Trent Brown: And now Sett pulling a page out of Michael Diamond's play book!
Michael Diamond stumbled to his feet, outraged by this insult. He charged Sett and went for a hard right but Sett dodged the blow and caught Michael Diamond off guard. Hooking his arms underneath Michael's and locking them together right at the base of Michael's neck, Sett lifted Diamond into the air and slammed him down with a Full Nelson Slam!
Trent Brown: Full Nelson Slam on Michael Diamond and Sett is dishing it out now!
Keith Kincaid: And it looks like Sett wants to send Michael Diamond on a little Journey!
Again, Sett's one arm was raised high into the air… signaling for his finisher. The fans cheered him on, hoping that they would see it this time. Michael Diamond slowly stumbled to his feet as Sett stood, waiting. As Michael turned towards Sett, Sett when to kick Michael in the gut which would usually double up a man. But Michael grabbed a hold of Sett's foot and held on tightly, keeping Sett off balance. Stepping over Sett's leg, Michael spun around and kicked Sett right in the forehead with a devastating Step-Over Wheel Kick!
Trent Brown: And, again, Michael Diamond counters The Journey!
Quickly getting to his feet, Michael Diamond rushed over to a nearby turnbuckle and mounted it with haste. Standing a top of it with ease, Michael waited as Sett slowly got to his feet. Turning, he saw Michael leap off the top rope and come sailing towards him with an attempted Cross Body. But Sett caught a hold of Michael and held him fast. Falling onto his back, Sett flipped Michael down onto his back with a beautiful Fallaway Slam!
Trent Brown: What a counter by Sett, catching Michael Diamond in mid-air and then hitting that Fallaway Slam on him!
Michael stumbled to his feet, the blood beginning to drip into his eyes. Sett approached from behind and grabbed a hold of Diamond, setting him up for a Pump Handle Slam. Flipping him up onto his shoulder, Michael managed to weasel his way out of the hold and drop behind Sett, countering the Pump Handle into a Reverse DDT! Both men lay on the mat, exhausted.
Trent Brown: And yet another counter in this great match-up! It's like both men know exactly what the other person is going to do!
Keith Kincaid: Well, these two men do have a history with each other Trent. A lot of blood has been spilt between these two.
The fans began to get behind Sett again, cheering him on but Sett appeared to be in a great deal of pain, that Reverse DDT dropping him on the back of his head and his neck. Michael stumbled to his feet first and grabbed a hold of the ladder that was currently up right and that was, right now, teetering against the ropes. Dragging it towards the middle of the ring, Michael firmly placed it underneath the belt and then began his climb up it towards the gold.
Trent Brown: And now Michael Diamond is going up! We could have a new International Champion here!
Keith Kincaid: Not if Sett has something to say about it Trent, look! He's got that other ladder!
Sett, who had somehow managed to get to his feet, grabbed a hold of the ladder that was still against the turnbuckle. Pulling it to the middle of the ring, Sett placed the ladder directly beside the first one. Setting it up, Sett began to climb up the ladder. Thankfully for Sett, Michael was having some trouble with his leg that he had merely broken months ago. Thus, Michael was slowly, but surely, moving towards the title. Sett quickly climbed up his ladder and met Michael Diamond at the top with a hard shot to the kidneys, causing Michael to retract his arm from trying to grab the gold.
Keith Kincaid: That was a close one, Michael's hand was just about there.
Turning Michael around on his ladder so that he was now facing Sett, the big man wrapped his big hand around Michael's throat. Without a second thought, Sett stepped off his ladder and sent himself and Michael crashing down to the mat, driving Michael down hard with a Endgame off the ladder!
Trent Brown: Oh my dear God! The Endgame off of the ladder and Michael Diamond has to be broken in two!
Keith Kincaid: That's got to be it Trent, that has to be game over for Diamond.
Trent Brown: Maybe not, the move seems to have hurt Sett as well. It looks like he may have twisted his ankle as he landed off of that ladder.
Sett propped himself against the ropes, trying to shake off the effects of his twisted ankle. After putting his full weight on it and assuring himself it would hold, Sett began to climb up the ladder towards his International Championship!
Trent Brown: Here we go folks! Sett is on his way up to grab a hold of his title!
Keith Kincaid: Trent! Look!
Trent Brown: I don't believe it! Michael Diamond is starting to get up!
Keith Kincaid: It may be too little too late through Trent, Sett is almost all the way up to the top!
As if hearing Keith's words, Michael forced himself up off the mat and began to climb the ladder adjacent to Sett's. As Sett reached up from his step, he felt the gold on his fingertips. One more rung and he would be there. But as he began to climb up, he felt the presence of another next to him. Turning, he was shocked to see Michael Diamond right beside him. Michael wrapped his arms around Sett's head, shoving Sett's face right into his right shoulder. Michael then stepped off the ladder and both men went crashing back down to the canvas, Michael driving the back of Sett's head and his neck down hard with The Diamond Cutter!
Trent Brown: Oh my God! The Diamond Cutter! The Diamond Cutter! Michael Diamond just hit The Diamond Cutter off the ladder and both men are back down again!
Sett lay on the mat in agony and pain as Michael lay beside him, his face quickly turning into a crimson mask. After what seemed like an eternity, Michael began to stir. And then, he was on his feet and he was climbing back up the ladder, hell bent on becoming the new International Champion.
Trent Brown: I don't know how Michael is doing it. He's got to be digging down deeper than ever to keep continuing in this match.
Keith Kincaid: Well, I think this match is about to end. Sett looks like he's in no condition to continue.
Trent Brown: Don't count Sett out yet Keith, look! He's getting back up!
The fans cheered as Sett began to get to his feet once more. Michael reached for the belt but it eluded his grasp, merely inches away. As Michael began to climb he suddenly felt the ladder wobble underneath his weight. Looking down, he saw Sett tilting the ladder. The ladder began to fall but Michael managed to leap off of the ladder and grab a hold of the steel cage. Quickly climbing up the cage, he reached the top. Without giving it a second though, Michael flung himself off the cage, flipping through the air and landing nearly right on top of Sett, knocking both men down with a suicidal Corkscrew Moonsault from the top of the cage!
Trent Brown: Oh… my… God! I cannot believe what Michael Diamond just did! Risking life and limb to take out Sett with that move!
Keith Kincaid: But he took himself out as well Trent, look! Both men are down and they are out! I guess that's the price you pay for being a high flyer.
As the fans chanted "Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!" in disbelief of what they just saw, both Sett and Diamond lay in the ring, totally destroyed. But then… movement, somehow, some way, Michael Diamond was getting back to his feet and he was greeted with a standing ovation, something that "Your Hero" had not experienced in a long time. Though fans still wanted to see Sett win this battle, they could still respect the heart and determination of Michael Diamond. Michael slowly began to ascend the ladder underneath the title, his gaze fixed on the International Championship Belt that swung back and forth. As he neared the title, the crowd grew more and more excited. However, they weren't excited that Michael was about to win this… they were excited because Sett was back up to his feet and he was now climbing the other end of Michael's ladder.
Trent Brown: I tell you Keith, these two guys are giving everything they got here.
Keith Kincaid: That was all that Sett said he wanted, remember?
Trent Brown: I know, but this… this is beyond belief.
As Michael reached towards the belt, the title right in his hands he felt a sharp stinging across his chest. He re-coiled his arm in pain as Sett delivered another stinging chop across Michael's chest. Michael and Sett exchanged hard rights but Sett's strength gave him the advantage. Soon, Michael was hanging lifeless from the other side of the ladder as Sett believed him to be knocked out, his strong will the only thing keeping his fingers from releasing their hold on the ladder. Sett began to ascend towards the title, his hand just right next to the championship.
Trent Brown: Sett is almost there! Just a few more inches and Sett has retained the International Championship!
Keith Kincaid: Wait! Look at Diamond! He still has some life left in him!
Hanging onto the ladder with his left hand, Michael plunged his right hand into his tights as he began to search around for something.
Keith Kincaid: Hahahaha! Look at that Trent! I think we just discovered Michael Diamond's secret for keeping himself going in this match`!
Trent Brown: Oh my God… this is disgusting! Cut to commercial for the love of God, this is a family show!
But then, it suddenly became apparent what Michael Diamond was REALLY doing. As he pulled his right hand out from his tights he wore his patented diamond knuckles. Pulling himself up to the top, he nailed Sett right in the forehead with the knuckles, busting Sett open on impact. Sett staggered… the blow devastating. Michael swung again, connecting with Sett's skull once more and opening the wound further but, still, Sett stood fast. With one last knock out shot from Michael's diamond knuckles, Sett's grip on the ladder failed him and he plummeted off the ladder all the way down to the canvas below!
Trent Brown: Three shots to the head from those diamond knuckles and I think it's safe to say that Sett is out cold!
Keith Kincaid: Not to mention bleeding profusely!
Trent Brown: Damn it, don't tell me that this is how it is going to end!
Throwing the diamond knuckles aside, Michael climbed up to the top of the ladder and began to reach out for the championship belt but, for some reason, stopped. Looking down, he saw Sett lying motionless on the mat, blood flowing out of him and onto the white canvas. Looking out at the crowd, the crowd suddenly got to their feet in anticipation of seeing another breathtaking move from Michael Diamond.
Keith Kincaid: What is he doing!? Don't listen to these stupid people! Grab the belt! Grab the belt!
Looking all around him, he could see that every single fan were out of his or her seats, edging him on. Turning his attention back to Sett and seeing that the big man was still laying there, Michael made up his mind. Michael leaned forward and fell off the ladder, falling right onto Sett and connecting with a high impact Prism!
Trent Brown: Oh my God! The Prism! The Prism! Michael Diamond just connected on The Prism from off the top of that ladder and both men are down!
Keith Kincaid: What was Michael Diamond thinking!? He had the match won!
Stumbling to his feet, the move having taken a lot out of him, Michael made it back to the ladder.
Trent Brown: Michael's on his way up and this looks like it might be the end for Sett's International Championship reign.
Keith Kincaid: I don't believe it! Sett is trying to get up!
Trent Browm: How on earth is he doing that!?
Sett, weakened from The Prism off the ladder, slowly pushed himself to his feet.
Trent Brown: I don't know how Sett is able to do this but I don't think he's going to be able to get to Michael Diamond in time, he's almost at the top!
Sett, using everything he had left, forced himself to his feet. Seeing Michael right at the gold, Sett forced his legs to walk over to the ladder. Reaching it, Sett used every muscle in his body to attempt to push the ladder over. Feeling the ladder tilting underneath his weight, Michael gave one last lunge for the Championship belt! Michael grabbed a hold of the ropes that were suspending the belt in the air!
Trent Brown: Michael tried to grab the title but he, instead, grabbed a hold of those ropes and now he's dangling!
Seeing Michael swinging back and forth from the suspenders, Sett managed to make it over to the other up-right ladder and begin to climb it.
Keith Kincaid: What is Sett thinking! He'll never be able to reach the title from where that ladder is set up!
Seeing Sett scrambling up towards him, Michael tried desperately to hang onto the ropes and, at the same time, detach the Championship belt. Reaching the top of the ladder, Sett tried to grab a hold of Michael but Michael twisted and dodged Sett's attempts. Frustrated, Sett gave a push to Michael, sending Michael swinging back on the ropes. Coming back towards Sett, Michael lifted his legs and wrapped them around Sett's head!
Trent Brown: Look at this! Michael Diamond is using Sett's body as his leverage and now he's trying to unhook the championship belt!
Holding onto the ladder so that he wouldn't fall, Sett suddenly had another idea. Steadying himself on the ladder, Sett reached up, grabbed a hold of Michael Diamond, and leaped off the ladder, driving Michael Diamond down hard to the mat with The Journey!
Trent Brown: Oh my God! Oh my God! Sett just delivered The Journey from the top of the ladder and I think he just killed Michael Diamond!
Keith Kincaid: Killed him or not Trent, look what Michael Diamond has in his hands!
As both men lay on the mat, beaten, battered, bruised, and bloodied, the fans suddenly realized that in Michael Diamond's hands was the International Championship. In all the excitement, they hadn't noticed Michael grab a hold of the title belt right before Sett powerbombed him off the ladder. Sett was the first to make it to his feet as he looked over at Michael to see the gold securely in his hands. Sett leaned against the cage and cursed himself as Michael slowly attempted to get to his feet.
Trent Brown: Well these two men had one hell of a war and the fans showing nothing but respect for these two great athletes.
As the crowd gave the two men a standing ovation, Sett walked over to Michael Diamond and helped him to his feet.
Trent Brown: What a class act by Sett.
Keith Kincaid: I think it's a miracle that either of these two men can stand, considering what we just witnessed here tonight.
Making sure Michael could stand on his own two feet, Sett began to walk away but Michael grabbed a hold of Sett's arm and spun him around. The two men glared into each other's eyes, each man waiting for the other to back down.
Trent Brown: Uh oh, these two guys could go at it again right here!
After a long stare down, Michael backed away from Sett. Placing the International Championship up onto his shoulder, Michael extended his hand to Sett. Sett stared down at Michael's hand, and then back up at Michael. After thinking it through, Sett finally extended his hand and the two shook hands in a matter of respect. Nodding his head to Michael, the two broke off their hand shake. Turning on his heel, Sett turned away from the champion and exited the Diamond Ring... leaving Michael Diamond to celebrate his newly won championship.
A fairly one-sided match with Fudge getting the majority of the offence in. Judge seemed to be carrying some sort of leg injury. Fudge gets his biggest win to date since his return to the HWA.
Winner: Fudge
Thanks to Michael Diamond for writing the Diamond / Sett match.
