Greetings to all. It is with a heavy heart that I write that this speech this evening. As you all know, on 9/23, our fed was hacked with some malicious intent. It was a scare for all, but mostly myself, Neil and Hollywood D. The three of us have spent countless hours trying to make this place one of the best places for people to come and roleplay, to vent some of their real life frustration, to have fun, to meet people form places and cultures that you may never have know otherwise. This is a place where your social rank doesn't matter... and where some people fit in where they never could before. This place becomes home. To see, in some respects, our home ransacked and torn was far too much for us to bear. It would seem that we acted too slowly, but we were shocked. Someone came and claimed responsibility... and we, in our minds, crucified that person. Files, pieces of our history were destroyed by some benevolent force that took offense to our history, to our success. By some force that forgot where the line was drawn between game and reality. By someone... who couldn't make heads and tails out of characters and people.

This person will go unpunished by authorities, unnamed by me in this speech. But this is their punishment. To be unkown for their deeds. To know that they have caused us pain is glorifying for them, but for us to cease to exist would invoke incredible joy for them in a sick, pathetic way. For them to succeed in not only erasing our past, but to put the future out of reach would be the ultimate goal for them. Today, as your President... as your fellow roleplayer... as a fan... I say to you all...

I will NOT allow them to destroy what some of us hold dear! I will NOT allow them to impede upon our contentness to play the game! And no longer will they disrespect you, me, or this fed!

The HWA will live on, the HWA will re-write its history and together we will script a future brighter then our past. Yes my friends, we will continue on. The fed will stay open, and we will move on.

To the 'hacker'... I know who you are. I don't know why you erased the histories... because you were a huge part of them. Erasing your own feats, accomplishments... basically, getting rid of your claims to fame. Well... you know man... I'm glad you did. Because no longer do we have to look and a traitorous asshole's name on our records. You blemished it, and I can't say I'm sorry to see it go. Adios... and I hope you correct this problem in real life, because if not... you're in deeper shit then any of us can imagine. For that, you have my sympathy.

HWA... it's time to move on. There will be some slight turnover problems as I try to make the site more secure. By Sunday I need an email with your new username and password for the OOC Board and RP Boards. Angle wise, I will post the results of SNS, and from them you will learn about the fate of Fear and where the fed is going in character.

That may take a bit, I still have some rebuilding to do and want to get the boards locked down. Security first... then we will progress on our paths to greatness.

Gentlemen... the State of the HWA is intact and well. We've been shaken, we've been fucked with. But what doesn't kill you will make you stronger, and I promise you all...

All the hacker did was make us stronger.
